Now it starts

Fitz was being coy. It wasn't usually like him but something in this yearling's expression - or maybe her words, or maybe the way she held herself - brought it out in him. He decided against introducing himself right now. She was looking for a home, no one said that she was looking to make one. He wasn't formally asking her to join them - yet. They were both just... testing the waters.

"How about making a home, making a pack?" he asked her, cleaning his paws as he did so. He was trying to ask as if this was a perfectly normal conversation. It wasn't every day you tried to create a pack or got asked to be a founding member of one. Today, though, they both got that scenario.

Trying not to hurry himself, trying not to portray his eagerness at another recruit he kept himself occupied, watching her from the corner of his eye.
