The mute fae had finally been accepted into a pack, one that made her immensely happy. Here, females were always above males, a fact Phantom found comfort in. It had been the same in her old pack, and the white girl had remembered awaiting the breeding season with excitement, hoping that against all odds she would be selected. That chance never came, however, before the attack of the males. She had figured out the system of ranks here, and had chosen to devote herself to pleasing her queen.
This day, same as many days before it, Phantom sat by the sea's edge, it gentle but cold waves lapping gently at her petit paws. Today Mother Sea was calm, a stark contrast to the tempest she had been the previous day. However, through out the day the waves had been picking up slightly, hinting at another tempest sometime soon. But for now, the silent fae gazed out over the frothy waves with startling green eyes that were a contrast to her pelt of bone.
After a long time at the water's edge, the silent one decided to finally make herself useful. At times, it seemed that in the womb she had given up her voice for a body that was strong of mind and labor, for Phantom was a great hunter, and an even better fighter when she wanted to be. Her looks were also considerable, though those got her nowhere with her lack of voice.
The ivory fae swiftly turned and loped with graceful lope along the beach. Finally, she found a small group of seals, and using stealth and brute strength managed to kill a slower one before it slipped back into the cold embrace of Mother Sea. Even though it was slow, it was also a nice size, and Phantom had some trouble pulling it back up the beach. It was times like these when she cursed her lack of voice, for if she was able to she would have surely called for help by now. But she couldn't and had to simply hope that someone would come along and help her with the fat thing.
