He sensed an excitement about the young male and just barely bit back an approving smile. Maintaining a stony façade, he led Rhodri well beyond the realm of the plateau and then stopped, his dusky eyes roving over the flatlands before finding their way back to the yearling's pale face.

"It's all on you now, Rhodri. I'm just your bigass shadow," he quipped dryly, then motioned for his companion to get started.
