He lingered several meters away, waiting and listening to see who would come out and greet Osprey. None did, much to his surprise, but she soon returned with a fair reason. He had little doubt in his mind that puppies in themselves were exhausting and that the potential parents — should both be inside — were probably napping just as easily as their cubs. With that little task out of their way, he debated over options from the prompt she gave him. What could they do? There were plenty of things available to them, many that pulled at the strings of his interest.

"I'm up for a bit of exploring if you are," he decided. "There's quite a bit of the plateau I haven't seen yet." An eager wave of his tail followed such because at his core, Mordecai was very much a bold explorer. And given that Osprey had a fair lay of the land in his opinion thus so far, he had no doubts that she knew some exciting vista that would be appeasing. Dante had already touched upon some of the more familiar gathering grounds, but at Mordecai's own request had left most of the locations left undiscovered.
