Redhawk Caldera disconnect the dots

It didn't take much persuasion from Finley to convince Elwood to make yet another trip to see the firebirds. He had been there earlier in the day but she insisted that he accompany her -- and he eagerly obliged. The tiny puppies still made him a little nervous, but he was becoming more comfortable with them each time he visited. At this rate, they would be just as familiar with Aunt Fin and Uncle El as they were with their own parents.

He laughed around a mouthful of feathers as Finley described Wildfire's antics (not for the first time, might I add!). It was obvious that his friend-girl was quite taken with the Alphas' children, and he was honestly surprised she hadn't kidnapped one for herself yet.

When they reached the Redleaf-DiSarinno homestead, he stopped next to Finley but didn't drop the cardinal just yet. He kept it clasped protectively in his mouth; once Fox and Peregrine indicated that they were welcome, he would deliver it to the floor of the den.
