Stay with me

The ride was going to be short, Kain saw that coming when the creature turned onto it's back. Kain had plently of time to react to this and all he had to do was jump away to the nearest tree, and that was the plan. He placed his sword in his mouth and leapt as far as he could to the nearest tree. He had to rush no matter what, ground level was too dangerous to remain in place. The trees are the only safe places he can count on and he better hurry. Even if he is light and is able to get around easily that didn't mean he would be faster than the dog/cat. Luckly the trees were not far since he jumped down from one.

Once he reaches the tree he'll climb up onto a branch knowing that he will be safe and then look down at the creature with a squirrelly grin.
