Sea Lion Shores forever young

Finally. Finally, the young seal had made it made to the sea. The sight of it alone was enough to cause tears of joy to prick at the corners of her eyes, but she didn't let them fall. No, she held them in and gave a respectful bow to the sea, to Lir. It seemed as if it had been ages since she last laid her eyes on the beautiful waters, but they were still very well known to her. It might be different from the one back home, but all of the oceans were considered her home, and she could easily learn of each one and what makes them tick in a short span of time. One does not forget the place from which they come so quickly, after all. Without an ounce of hesitation, she took off towards the untamed waters, seal skin clutched securely between her jaws. One second her paws where hitting the sand along the shore, and the next her grey speckled body was in the sea. She waded out a bit, skin and fur flowing like one with the gentle waves, before stopping. All she did was stand there, looking out into the vast world that was the ocean, wondering what all lived within the newly found waters.

Having been far too caught up in her sheer excitement of meeting the sea once again, Muirgen had completely missed the other girl who had also waded into the calmed waters. It wasn't until she turned to the shore to head back and sunbathe did her sea green optics meet the other girl. Having not known she was there, her “sudden” appearance startled the child, but she quickly regained her composure and put on a small smile (which may have looked odd with the seal skin in her mouth). The new presence was a female, clearly, so she worried not of her skin being stolen. The selkie's legs continued to carry her back to shore after, and once her paws reached the sand she laid her skin down on the warm softness and sat upon it. The little girl hadn't bothered shaking the salty water from her coat, as she saw it as being welcomed upon her small frame.
