Cradled between the depths of the Valley laid the best kept secret of the Teekon Wilds.
Under the shade of the trees the trim silhouette of a long forgotten icon, whose existence had become questionable, rose from the stillness. Quietly, she broke away from her predicted route and into the openness, her polished white feet stepping over the blades of green with the softness of a prowling feline.
She had always been a predator.
But she had never imagined she would find such comfort in the loneliness that came with seclusion.
What had begun as a brief getaway to straighten her plans of greatness had resulted in the total withdrawal of herself from the world she once knew. After the rollercoaster ride that had been her life during her time at the Spine: the battles, the wins, the losses, the betrayals and the threats; she had been delighted to close the curtain on the watchful eyes that had fallen on her and her beau as she had decided to rid herself of a curse and the burden of her ex-mate in exchange of a more fruitful future.
Yes, she had initially wanted to reel in some of her most loyal ones to her self-made haven.
But she had also wanted to be a mother by now, something that seemed now more distant than ever.
Yet not impossible.
For Cara such word held no power.
She had always gotten her way, she had had to claw her way through the dark times and she had had to taste defeat to savour success too, but she had never left a battle empty-handed.
With an eerie tranquility the former Queen ventured further out into the unguarded openness of the Valley, straying away from the armor of the trees and lush foliage that she had known as refuge for the past months. Although her impromptu retreat from the world had served as a much needed rest for her peace of mind, Cara still wore the same fierceness upon her whiskey colored eyes.
Her spirit had not been weakened by her absence, it had not been changed.
She still moved with the same determination, she still breathed the same decisiveness and she was still willing to conquer and divide, or in other words;
She was ready to fuck shit up.

Lost with his lover. Away from anything that could bother them. It was a dream. But just like her, the ice prince was ready to get back to reality, by her side.
Keithen Borealem was a man ruled by emotion, most of the time avoiding it to prevent getting stagnant in life. He knew ow to manipulate his view of things to get the best out of any situation, and this situation could only get better from this point.
There was a patch of black in his memory, at least half a year that he had no memories of, only marks. Three slashes over his right eye was all he had from that lost time, and a red paw on his shoulder that had been washed away long ago. The points were there to join, but he still needed to draw the lines to see the bigger picture.
Still, his life was peaceful. He had a strong woman by his side, a leader unlike himself, and yet they were equals. What was to come was uncertain, but promising. His girl had voiced her desire to bring life to this world, and he had agreed on it without issue. They would be parents, loving and protective ones, but not before establishing something safe for them. Keith was going to make sure of that at all cost.
The relationship between Cara and Keith, although heavily driven by desire and physical attraction at first, had evolved into a strong bond. They were there for each other, and Keith was loyal to her.
When Cara left the warmth of their love nest, Keith followed, crawling out of the dark hole and into the open field. The grass was covered in tiny pearls of water from the morning, and another day had been born. He came to her from behind and nipped her left ear pulling down gently in a teasing way, only to lick her pale cheek afterwards.

After having it all, and losing it all one would think the power-crazed beast that ruled over Cara Moretti would have been defeated. But with Cara, one would think you’d already know it is best to think twice.
Defeat was part of what she lived for, after all.
In order to rise she had had to sink beforehand, and as tedious as it was, it was the act of having to rise again what gave life to the vicious beast beneath the surface of her skin.
Cara, unlike her beau, was not moved by any emotion, save for maybe rage. She had a one-track mind and a one-track heart; she was in it for the glory not for the second prize. And really the Spine had been cold left-overs since day one. After her once idolatrized Queen had stopped her breathing Cara should have killed her from her mind as well.
Gratitude doesn’t do shit if the one you’re grateful to is dead.
After her idol’s death, Cara had ruled under her shadow – thankfully her prideful eyes never got quite adjusted to the dark.
Letting go of the rotten desires to pull the Spine from its seemingly never-ending misery had been the best choice she had ever made – and that was a lot to say for someone with such a large repertoire of bad choices.
Even if the place had not turned into a complete shithole, her abandonment had at least stopped her world from becoming one.
Again Cara Moretti felt alive.
Even if there wasn’t a throne with her name on it and the crown she wore on her head was not visible for anyone but her, Cara was already rising back.
Suddenly, the gentle touch of her lover upon her cheek placed her thoughts to rest.
With her eyes narrowing and her ears sliding back out of reach in case he wanted to make an impromptu attack once again, Cara’s own muzzle found Keith’s neck. “Hungry?” she breathed into his fur whilst tugging softly at the strands of fur that tickled her nose as she buried herself deeper into him.
Like the Spine, the period on which Keith had disappeared from her life had been long buried. Their relationship, as chaotic as it had started as, had taken a turn for the best as soon as Kaname had been ditched and the ugly truths about their love triangle had been sorted.
Even before he joined her in her seclusion for an improvised honeymoon, the lust that had kept them linked to one another had already begun to evolve into something with greater significance: love.
And even if Cara was not the type of girl that trusted blindly that love could conquer all, she was certain that she and her lover, could.

Cara's cold nose sank deeper into his neck, but just the mere touch of her already made the pale northerner feel electrified. His attraction for Cara had been for too long only physical, and probably, her wild nature had also taken part on it, but now, just like she, Keith felt more than just attraction towards her.
Their seclusion had been more than pleasing in all it's sweaty craziness, and there were times when he felt most peaceful, but now, he too felt the urge to rise again, this time by his lover's side and higher than they'd ever been before. Keith knew that Cara felt a deep fondness in her heart for Jinx, her idol, or at least it had been like that in the past; but he knew that under her shadow, Cara would never reach her full potential, and he hoped that by his side, it could be boosted into something grand.
Cara's seductive voice had showed to be the Arctic's weakness. Every time his pale ears were flooded with the sound of it his heart seemed to pound harder and hotter. The way she spoke to him was just... It was just like she wanted him to go crazy, and she seemed to have gotten it. He was crazy for her.
Keith hummed in Cara's ear as a response, a soft and deep rumbling hum as he licked her ear once again. "What will it be today?" he asked. All she wanted he would provide, it was his job, and then it was just a matter of asking for the payment. Oh did they enjoy that payment...

Ask and you shall receive.
Having been the mastermind behind numerous manipulative stunts since the prime of her youth, Cara was well accostumed to playing the role of director. In the theatrical display that was seduction and persuasion the pale Moretti had been talented, like a puppeteer that slid its fingers over the strings, with a simple sway of her hips Cara could have the moon brought down on a silver tray.
She had been one to twist events in her favor with a bat of her eyelashes.
Now, although still existent, her greed was not as voracious as it had once been. After having a fair share of betrayal touch her life Cara had taken a certain pleasure in getting her own paws ‘dirty’. This however did not mean she would deprive her King from pleasing her.
“Hmm” she hummed back as she received her beau’s gentle caressing.
What do you ask for when you know you can have it all and more?
What do you ask for when you know you want it all?
Cara wanted the world at her feet, but for now, lunch would do just fine.
“I was thinking rabbit, I scented some around not too long ago” she barked whilst flaring her nostrils unconsciously. Then with her ears quickly swinging forth she added, “But you, judging by the way you were gnawing on my ear, are hungry for something else”
Ah, there she had done it again.
Again she was spilling sweet nothings in his direction, knowing very well, the consequences of her ‘insinuations’.
