Pack Activity
This thread is also mandatory and will have loose rounds. You may post more than once in a round if the interaction is necessary (AND encouraged!) but try to only post once a day so no one gets left behind. Don't forget to cameo in this thread. This round will end next Wednesday, April 12. @Dio @Eske @Xan @Hush @Kendra @Tirgatao @Corranochender @Asherah @Anatha @Elohim. @Wildfire and @Portia may cameo if they like.

Thuringwethil had been informed of the turkeys Arlo and Melchior had found earlier in the day and the rest of Drageda, except for Portia, her mate, and herself, set off toward the outskirts of their home. It would typically give her anxiety to empty the pack lands except for the nursing mothers and injured commander, but their time away and proximity gives her enough to soothe the concern. A short call can be made and they’d drop everything to return but she tries to take it easy until they return.

And, eventually, they do.

Almost in tandem, some sullen and some victorious, they return with three turkeys. Thuringwethil has taken two of the leftover rabbits from the cache to give to Wildfire and Portia, since their time away from the puppies cannot be spared, and she moves to greet the wolves coming home with their kills in tow.

“Welcome home,” she greets them with a wave of her flagged tail, looking between each one before inspecting the turkeys. She does not go in to take her fill as leader of the wolves but she’s overwhelmed with pride, even if some had not been successful by the look of some. “Before winter, we feasted upon a fallen moose but our home did not last very long, and here we welcome spring a little late,” she tells them, but plenty had happened in the last few weeks to give them a pass. The first of two litters close together had taken a toll on everyone but they managed to get by anyway and they are still able to rejoice for a fruitful season.

“Because I could not participate in the hunt, I’m going to take a step back for those that did,” she says, flickering her gaze to the other wolves. It is an uncommon move but she does not deserve the hard workings of her clan and, instead, “enjoy.”

Thuringwethil hangs back and waits, watching as the rest of them break into their kills before she takes her own fill and waits to interact with everyone.

Kendra was actually surprised that they managed to pounce on a turkey. When the Heda came to them she was certain that at least one would go to the alpha female but that didn't seem the case. They were allowed to eat it because of their hard work. Kendra actually liked that reward. She thought it was very respectful of the Heda to do so. The female quirked up her lips and pushed one turkey closer to her and Eske. They had fed on a meal together before. They wouldn't be strangers. However the feather flying everywhere and sticking to her nose and tongue was unexpected, letting Kendra make quite the facial expressions.

They’d regrouped at the borders with three turkeys in tow and a mix of spirits. He sticks close to his brother, Eske, and Kendra as they gather near the lake where they find Heda. Melchior stands proud on the outskirts of their little group and Arlo trots jovially in his direction while their gathering of food is blessed and given to the hunting party first. With an excited wag of his tail, he glances up first to make sure Dio has taken his fill, even if he hadn’t brought one home, before he settles in with the others for his own as feathers and scaly legs tickle around his nose.
