With a determined yet angry look about her did Koume drag in the body of a fawn. It had just begun its life and already a prisoner of the undaunted spirit residing within the fiery girl. The fawn had been stuck in some brush with the parents gone, but as soon as it escaped once it saw the dark coat of the wolf it ran as if its life depended on going as fast as a bullet. Luckily it had stumbled, giving Koume the opportunity to catch up and end its life before it could get up again.
She let out a small howl, a call for help getting the heavier catch somewhere safe.

Now - three months old - Nunataq often took the liberty of expanding her horizons beyond the circle of the dens, where Laurel and Indra and the rest of her family resided. She had also learned to disappear, when the "her voice of authority" was not looking or before she managed to set boundaries.
This she had done today as well, however, with unexpected consequences - she got lost. And, when a howl erupted right next to the bush and patch of tall grass, where she was hiding, the girl lost no time to leap out and towards the source of the sound. She was neither scared, nor particularly concerned about her "lost" status. Maybe a little annoyed by the fact that she had no idea, where to go next. Now - all of this was solved in an instant.
She spotted a dark pelted wolf next to a very tasty-smelling piece of meat. With a happy yip and friendly-submissive position she ambled towards the adult. It was yet to be decided, whether she was more excited for being found or the fresh meat in front of her.

Her lighter ears flicked around as they picked up the sound of rustling and footfalls. They were lighter than what one would expect from a heavier, bigger adult and so it was only a small surprise when someone's kid came waddling towards her. With an annoyed sigh did she drop the fawn, mismatched eyes following the small wolf around.
Hey kid.She greeted, wanting to take it easy on the girl.
Are your parents around? She asked bluntly, looking around but not spotting an adult near. Great, now she was stuck with it.

For some reason the dark wolf's demeanor made Nuna think that expressing her "oh-I-am-so-little-and-harmless" all the way by licking the other's maw and peeing a little as well would not go well. Therefore she stopped at a polite distance (thank you, Laurel for teaching, what it is), still looking a little dopeyish cute with her drawn back ears and hunched pose and weed a little on the spot.
In response the wolf emitted series of sounds to which Nuna listened intently and then mirrored his actions by looking around herself and not seeing anything of interest. Perhaps there wasn't, she shrugged, forgot that she had to be meek and wait for a permission, and took the two - three steps closer to the fawn, sniffing it with great interest and leaving a little creek of drool all over it's brown pelt.

Koume did not particularly like children. Or any wolf for that matter. They were so... dumb and practically useless to a certain age. She couldn't see herself having her own if she was ever given the chance. Her nose wrinkled when the kid peed, rolling her eyes. She sighed when the kid did not seem to understand her words. Koume did not know how old this one was or when pups obtained the ability to speak and understand what was spoken.
The hell am I going to do with you?She murmured to herself, lying down near the carcass when the kid found it appropriate to drool all over it. She was tired from the hunt anyway.
So, what are your dreams and aspirations? She asked with a smirk, wanting to play the smart guy with the kid even though she didn't understand.

If Koume wanted to play smart guy and do so by impressing Nuna with words, then he had chosen the wrong kid. She flicked an ear, when the lass finished her sentence in that upgoing tune, which indicated a question, but otherwise the pup's whole attention was drawn to the carcass. She picked up the scent of blood and traced it all the way, where the salty, red liquid had seeped into the fur. She lapped it up and then sank her little teeth in the flesh and gave a hefty tug. Nuna was not particularly hungry at that point, but the instinct as old as world itself told her that no food should be left to waste.

Another heavy sigh escaped her maw. Yeah, children weren't for her. The kid didn't even seemed phased with anything she said so why keep going. Perhaps, for the other, actions spoke louder than words. Her bi-colored eyes followed the little abomination as it sniffled and nibbled at her catch. She rose then, shifting so she was opposite of the kid at the other side of the carcass.
She nestled her own nose into the fawn's downy fur, teeth ripping up the flesh and tearing off a piece which she would use to perhaps play fetch with the other. With a graceful sweep of her head did she throw it over the kid.
Go fetch. She said then, waiting to see what was more interesting to the girl; the carcass, or an already bite-sized piece of meat that took a little less effort.

Little abomination will be Nuna's new nickname! :D
Though Nuna's determination in eating the whole fawn was great, her small, pointy teeth and weak jaws were not ready for the task (not to mention that the fawn was twice her size at the moment). But not being one, who would give up easily, she struggled on and paused only, when the grown-up came to aid. A possesive growl began to form in her throat and she would have gone as far as snapping at the bigger wolf, when it did something unexpected. It had freed a chunk of meet and threw it away for her. She followed it with her eyes and then sprang to her feet and went right after it. Again - she lacked the agility to catch it mid-flight, but still she reached it in a considerable speed, grabbed it and took it some steps further away. In case Koume changed her mind. And, after placing it firmly between her outstretched forepaws she began to eat it greedily.

Really, she wasn't scared with the kid's aggressive and in some way possessive nature when it came to her catch. If she wanted, she could probably poke the nosy child into crying for their mama, but she wasn't a sadist. Luckily (for the kid), it stopped the pathetic act to be like the one and only Koume and went after the piece of meat she had thrown.
You eat, I eat, kiddo. She commented, munching her own belly full but leaving plenty of flesh for the other pack members to enjoy. Perhaps, with this victory, she could propose a pack hunt (led by her, preferably) so they could feast on an even bigger buffet. She wondered then if the kid had finished their little meal already. With some of the carcass's weight now in their belly, maybe they could attempt to bring it to a nearby cache.

The meat was gone, Nuna licked her chops, then cleaned her paws and cast a glance over at the dark wolf, who was devouring the rest of the corpse. There was an inkling for her to go and steal some more, but it was over-powered by the heavy feeling in her belly and the sleepiness that crept up on her. Therefore with a yawn and without giving much more thought about the hunter, who needed help, she got to her feet and trotted back to the den. A power-nap or maybe two of them would be just perfect.
Last from me here - thank you!

I'll archive!
Alas, her plans didn't always work out. The mut seemed tired of doing nothing and Koume didn't understand puppies much so she saw it as an insult. She should be the one acting tired, she had hunted the damned thing. With a soft "hmpf" did Koume resume pulling at the carcass to bury it near a cache, rubbing her scent alllll over it to make sure that whoever took a bite knew it had been her to bring it here.
