He'd awoken under some evergreen tree, half delirious and utterly confused as the pressure beneath his eyes aided the drowsiness that weighed him down. Where the hell was he again? Oh, yeah. Bhediya. She'd led him to her home, to whatever this place was, and he'd fully taken advantage of the kindness she'd extended towards him.
And now, he was half awake, barely fighting off exhaustion, and apparently hallucinating the image of glowing mushrooms. Except he wasn't - hallucinating that is. The fungi was very much real as was the sea-foam hue it emitted, but that didn't make it any more realistic to the drowsy youth as he bent down, abruptly plucked one from the earth, and promptly swallowed it whole.

she is shrouded by snow -- the forest is kissed by the pale, snow falling, swirling, forming hiemal cataracts as clouds drift lazily across the sky, sunlight peaking through and caressing verglas-coated trees. virgin snow crunches under paw as she passes beneath evergreen trees, watching shadows shift as wintry breeze pushes branches aside to dance along and whisk her further through forest 'til she sees cavern rising from the ground, wolfish figure standing nearby swallowing something glowing whole. she reels while he cannot see her, wondering if it was an act of bravery or stupidity -- swallowing strange plants seemed sure to bring some dreadful fate.
"what did you eat?" the sea-witch calls, voice lilting as it flows through the cold air, breath just barely visible as it swirls 'round her maw. perhaps it was not the most adequate greeting, but lavinia was not one for simple courtesies and she wanted to know what it was he had eaten, thus she asked.

If it had not been for the act of swallowing a bite too big, Xizur might have gone on believing the shrooms were no more than a trick of his mind. But between the uncomfortable feeling of the fungi scraping along his esophagus and the sudden words of his newfound company, the wayward youth had begun to realize what he'd just done. A sluggish "huh?" slipped from his lips as he lifted a paw to rub at his eyes, vision still fogged with fatigue.
After a moment he let his paw fall back to the earth, his attention now set on the unfamiliar figure before him as he lifelessly blinked a few times in her direction. Who was she again? Had she said her name? Ah, never mind. He supposed the specifics didn't really matter anyways and automatically assumed she was just another body Bhediya had brought the lair.
