Borders patrols were quiet of the edge of the caldera, maybe that was why Cinar liked it. His weak nose could take the time it needed, held close to the ground as he moved. Scent posts could be renewed, and movement was easily spotted on the open landscape.

He had been tense in recent weeks, but now he found it difficult to be anything but relaxed. The caldera was a good home; peaceful, kind. It could not be denied that he had grown to like the Redhawks, and while he couldn't say he had become the self-sacraficing type, he did care for them. Most of all, he had @Alivia, and he couldn't have asked for a better friend to follow in this new chapter of his life.

Maybe it was time to leave the weight of Siena behind. Kemal had not followed him from the lowlands, maybe his brother had built a new life too. Pushing out a breath that he had long held back, he trotted forward and took in the crisp afternoon air. He was nearly done now. Once his patrol was finished, maybe it would be worth giving Alivia a visit.

Lowering his nose to the ground once more, something familiar came to him, and before a single thought could cross his mind, Cinar took off to follow it.
