@Grayday ! :D
She'd noticed the man with fire eyes when he'd started on her trail - a woman had to be aware of these things, after all, especially in a place so full of allies where she had none. But a woman didn't have to address these things until she was certain she wished to, or until she felt threatened - and, since she neither felt threatened nor interested at this particular moment, Sorrow had let him follow, while she observed the happenings of this strange gathering from her safe distance away.
It was only when she'd circled back on her own twisting trail with the careful plan to discover which of these packs this man belonged to that she found nothing short of the great wide wilds that laced her own wayward fur. So, he hadn't come with anyone, then!
Her pause must have given him time to catch up; Sorrow lifted her head to meet the man with a curious blink.
Oh, hello,she said, as though they'd already introduced themselves, and she was simply reacquainting with some old friend.
Finally caught up?her eyes creased with a pleasant smile,
You smell like loneliness. You don't belong to anyone here either, do you?

The slender, dark-furred creature paid him little mind at first, and he wasn't quite sure whether to feel offended or intrigued. A little more of the latter, perhaps, but Grayday was about ready to give up his pursuit by the time she finally rounded back to meet him. Harassment wasn't exactly on his to-do list.
He stilled when she addressed him, subconsciously straightening his posture a little as he realized how blue and pretty her eyes were. Then she called him lonely, and — shit, that was embarrassing. His ears went hot, but he blinked away his embarrassment and tried to look nonchalant.

Yeah, I guess you could say that,Grayday managed after a moment, glancing briefly over his shoulder as if to check for onlookers. Then his eyes found her again, and he offered a slightly shy smile.
I'm Grayday. You new to these parts, too?
