Mon @Pantaleimon is welcome to join as well. :)

When Peregrine woke up with a pounding head, he dismissed it as the effects of grogginess and expected the pain to pass by the time he finished a cold breakfast. But even as he swallowed the last bite and began heading down to the borders, his headache only worsened. When he reached the foot of the caldera, he realized that every step sent a shooting pain through his skull. There was no way he could patrol like this.

Instead, an idea struck him and he veered, heading toward the pack's makeshift hospital wing, where Magpie was looking after @Sebastian and the ailing Dove. Maybe she could recommend something for this headache migraine, which was now causing his eyes to throb. Wincing slightly, he arrived in the general area and announced his presence with a muted woof.

Ooo I could also use this for healer xD But I need warden more.

Sebastian was rather bored in the hospital wing but it was a great source of learning for Sebastian. He grained more knowledge about certain plants and herb she could use. Just like feverfew could be used to easing out headaches. Sebastian was currently resting. As a wolf that liked to work hard, laying around wasn't something he was used to. But with the light sun warming him up Sebastian couldn't be that mad. The large male's wounds still needed cobwebs at times for the bleeding to stop but other than that it didn't seem infected. That was his greatest fear.

Sebastian woke when he heard familiar footsteps and a woof. He opened his pale eyes and saw the dark feet of his alpha. Sebastian raised his head slowly, his tail patting against the ground. The pack had taken such good care of him and making sure he always had food. If he wasn't in a pack he never survived this. "Hello Peregrine," he greeted.

Pantaleimon made her way towards the makeshift infirmary with a rabbit between her teeth. It was a little scrawny, but Pan hoped that the sick wolves would be able to appreciate it anyway; she figured they might be hungry, and since Magpie was taking care of the wolves, Pan figured she'd take care of hunting for her and them.

Upon arrival, the exhilarating scent of Peregrine drifted towards Pan and when she looked up, she saw him already there. What lucky coincidence. Pan didn't know Sebastian very well, so she put down the rabbit and awkwardly nosed it towards him. "Uhm, in case - if you're hungry," Pan awkwardly said, with a hesitant smile. She wondered why Perry was here; had he also brought some food or other useful things for the wounded wolves of the Caldera?

Sebastian's greeting caused Peregrine's head to throb, though he managed a smile and replied, "Hey, Seb. How're you feeling?" Even as he cocked one ear for the male's response, the other twisted as his jade eyes searched the general area for Magpie. He didn't see her, which caused him to wince slightly before returning his gaze to Sebastian.

Before their conversation could go much further, Pantaleimon slid gracefully onto the scene, nervously offering the wounded wolf a scrawny rabbit. The Alpha smiled at his lover, nudging the corner of his mouth with his nose and ignoring the pain in his head a moment. Even as he gazed at the side of his lover's face, he realized that Sebastian probably didn't know about them yet.

"You missed the hunt while you were gone," Peregrine said, motioning at the still Dove. "That's where she got hurt. Anyway, I made a special announcement that you missed. Pan and I are together. I'm still with Fox, of course," he added, uncertain whether he'd ever discussed polyamory or bisexuality with the Delta before. Hopefully he wasn't dropping a gigantic bomb on Sebastian.

Sebastian looked surprised to see the white male approach, frankly they hadn't talked much but that wasn't because Sebastian didn't want to. Their paths just never crossed. The grey tank of a male was very busy with his trades and it seemed that they didn't have many in common otherwise they would have met already, or so that was what Sebastian thought. "Thank you, Pan. That is very kind," he thanked and even wagged his tail to show the other his gratitude.

Sebastian also didn't know that the pale male identified himself as a female. He never really thought about such topics at all. "Dove told me about the hunt yes," he nodded but she hadn't told him about what Peregrine announced. Sebastian opened his mouth and looked at his alpha with a confused expression on his face, then his pale blue eyes turned to Pan and after that back to Peregrine. "I'm confused," he spoke after a moment. Weren't mates suppose to stay with each other and not be unfaithful with others? He didn't think Fox as the type to be okay with this.

"You like.. males?," he then asked out loud, not really referring to any of the two in particular. Of course he heard about it but he never really... seen it. How would that even... work? Nope. He didn't want to think about that. Sebastian looked just so clueless in this moment.

Pantaleimon smiled appreciatively at Sebastian as she was thanked for the rabbit. Her work as Gamekeeper was going well, and Pan was always happy to help out a pack mate. Especially with how many wounded they had. Pan wasn't entirely sure what had happened to Sebastian yet, and could not help but wonder. Something about an attack, but when she laid eyes upon him, he looked in worse shape than Pan could have imagined.

Peregrine cut right to the chase and explained about himself and Pantaleimon. Pan had just intended to ask about Sebastian's injury and felt pretty put on the spot when Sebastian went on to ask if Peregrine (and/or Pan; Pantaleimon coudn't tell for sure who exactly he was referring to) liked males. Pan wanted to say 'No! I'm a girl too!' but obviously there was no way she could in the company of these other wolves. She didn't have the balls to tell Perry, let alone any of her other pack mates, anyway.

Pan swallowed dryly while she allowed space for Peregrine to answer the question. Once done, she decided to try and spin the subject by asking Sebastian: "What uhm... Who did this to you?" she asked, a worried frown on her masculine face. If he had any direct questions for her, Pan'd answer, but she rather hoped he would catch onto her new subject and put the spotlights back on himself.

Sebastian seemed taken aback, though more confused than judgmental. Peregrine nodded firmly when asked about his preferences, which caused his headache to flare worse than before. "I like both," he answered simply, trying not to grimace. "Sorry if I confused you," he added. "I'm also not monogamous. Like I said, I'm still with Fox. She knows and supports us... just like I will support her when the blessed day comes that she takes herself a lady lover."

Pan seemed a little put on the spot and attempted to change the subject. Peregrine gave him a small smile, then reclined on his haunches. It felt like a deer had kicked him in the temple or something. His eyes also felt strange, as if they were too big for their sockets. Peregrine closed them momentarily, though he kept his attention on his two pack mates by pricking his ears in the direction of their conversation.

Sebastian's pale eyes fell on Pan for a moment. He looked pretty miserable like he didn't want Sebastian to know. Sebastian blinked, he wasn't .. against it. He was more of a guy that wouldn't mind what others are doing as long as it wasn't in his face. Peregrine and Pan were definitely not doing that. "Oh. Okay," he spoke. "I mean good for you more available wolves for you, ey?," Sebastian then tried to joke. But the other thing what Peregrine said was something Sebastian didn't agree with. He would probably be too possessive to share his mate with anyone else. But if his alpha's liked to do that without arguing about it Sebastian would accept it. "As long as the alpha pair doesn't have a fall out about being with someone else I'm good," he returned.

Sebastian would mind if the alpha pair was rocky in their relationship again, just after the attack of Wildfire. It made him a bit nervous about the pack and what would happen to it. But that was his only worry. "But I think I have to Congratulate you guys?," Sebastian let out. "How unfair. You have two and I have none. What happened to that promise of finding some girls my age? Hot nurse or something?," Sebastian tried to joke to light the mood. Then Pan wondered what happened to him, which instantly distracted Sebastian from the previous topic. His pale eyes looked at Peregrine. "Well, I was in the North, visiting a friend. I was on neutral grounds when I ran into Peregrine's daughter. She tried to kill me," he explained.

Pantaleimon silently listened to the jokes that Sebastian made and the concerns that he voiced. She tried not to look too unhappy under them, but couldn't help but feel a little off. It wasn't so much that she didn't want to talk about her relationship with Perry -- she wanted the whole world to know -- but the circumstances weren't entirely in her favour. She still hadn't been able to tell Perry all that she wanted, and it didn't look like she was going to anytime soon.

When Sebastian sort-of congratulated them, Pan smiled a forced smile and said a quiet: "Thank you." She didn't like what he said next -- about Perry having two lovers and all that -- but didn't show it visibly.

Sebastian then explained what had happened, which was pretty much as Pantaleimon had feared. She couldn't help but feel relieved when Reek was not mentioned in any of it. "So it... Saena?" Pan asked, half-choking on her words as she tried to pick the right ones. "Did uhm... Was a-anyone else there?" Pan sounded as nervous as she felt. She just hoped it'd been a solo mission.

Peregrine attempted to smile at Sebastian's quips, though this headache was really beginning to border on agonizing. Anyway, Pan asked for details about the attack and he saw the opportunity to hold his silence. In the meantime, he lowered himself to the ground. It really didn't do much to alleviate the throbbing in his head but he felt slightly better off his feet.

He vaguely followed the conversation. Peregrine already knew these details, though being reminded of Saena's attempt on his pack mate's life sent a shooting pain through his left temple. Peregrine clenched his teeth as his vision dimmed. Then, just like that, his headache disappeared.

Holding very still and blinking his jade eyes, Peregrine could think only one thing: What the fuck? His eyes then raised to his two companions questioningly, as if they might be able to explain what had just happened. But of course they wouldn't know; they weren't even aware of his headache in the first place, aside from his perhaps peculiar behavior.

Sitting up again, he shook his head lightly, almost as if testing it, then shrugged and chimed into the conversation by saying, "The wolves up north are behaving like that entire region is their territory, so we'll be sure to treat the south the same way."

Sebastian had placed his head down by now, just had Peregrine had. He wondered if something was bother get alpha because he looked pained with something. Maybe it wasn't his business otherwise his alpha would tell him. His pale eyes glanced at the white male. "Yes it was her, and her band of misfits," he let out. "She called upon them. I felt like her whole pack was there. Her ugly looking Beta, a fierce warrior and a kind darker male and some others that didn't leave an impression," he spoke. Not knowing he just named the one wolf that Pan didn't hope he would call. "They all wanted me dead and are very mad at what happened with Junior. Be careful to go there," he warned Pan with some genuine worry.

Sebastian nodded shortly towards Peregrine, who now looked much better. "Once I am back on my paws I will patrol that border with no moments rest!," she spoke full of passion, though of course it was a figure of speech because the male would need rest and he was far more interested in becoming a healer. "I almost have my warden trade. Do you have any tips maybe? Last time It was more of a verbal spar, like Elwood. But if it better to instantly attack tell me so," Sebastian spoke. He wasn't sure how they expected him to warden.

Pantaleimon listened as Sebastian named the other wolves who were there. Her Beta -- Reek was her Beta, wasn't he? Pan wondered if Reek had done anything aggressive. He didn't seem like the aggressive type at all; and he wasn't built as a fighter at all either. Reek was a kind and gentle soul in Pan's mind. She hated that Sebastian called him ugly; maybe because he was her friend and she felt protective, or maybe because Pan knew that she was ugly too (to her own standards anyway, as she had broad masculine features and a bumped nose, as though it'd been broken once; she wished she was more beautiful often).

Pan was distracted from her thoughts about Reek by the look on Perry's face. With a worried frown upon her face, Pan hastily asked: "Are - are you -- what happened?" She folded back her ears and reached out to tenderly lick Peregrine's muzzle, hoping he wasn't hurt or anything. He looked strange, as if he had just spaced out a moment. He looked better now, but she was still worried.

Sebastian was forgotten for the moment, and Pan vaguely heard he asked for Warden tips; her silver eyes were trained only upon her lover for the moment, the worried frown refusing to leave before she got a confirmation he was okay.

Only Pan seemed to notice his little fit of sorts. Although Peregrine appreciated the concern and the kiss even more, he shook his head lightly. "I just had a weird headache. It's gone now." He offered his companion a reassuring smile and a nudge, then refocused his attention upon Sebastian's question. It was, after all, an important topic to cover.

"Personally, I don't believe in using words when teeth send a much stronger message. We're not diplomats; we're animals. I'll go right ahead and encourage you to terminate trespassers with extreme prejudice. At the very least, confront them and chase them the hell away from our home. Even the friendliest wolf is unwelcome beyond our doorstep, with or without escort." This shouldn't be news to either of them but it never hurt to repeat the message.

Sebastian had noticed the headache but then hadn't really commented on it. Pan did notice but Peregrine brushed it off. Sebastian wanted to comment on the fact that Peregrine could eat feverfew but the topic switched to his question. Sebastian was more than happy to listen. He still lacked his warden skill. He was so close to being the pack's healer! But his warden skills could be better. Now with his injury he was more than happy to get a verbal lesson.

"I believe you are right," Sebastian nodded. "Last time I had a verbal discussion and it didn't really sent any message across," he greed with his alpha. "Is there anything else to it? What place do you usually go for? Neck? Or paws? To chase them off." Sebastian was curious because once he was better he might be an even better warden than before and not only for his pack but also for the south.

Pan looked worriedly at Peregrine, wondering where the headache had come from. However, since it was nothing more than a headache, Pan decided to drop the subject for now, since Perry did not seem to wish to dwell on it for long either.

Instead, they continued with the subject of being a warden. Pan looked at the ground when Peregrine said that he thought teeth sent a stronger message than words. She felt like a lousy warden; she wasn't very good with her teeth at all, and she didn't want to be, either. And she was only becoming a warden because she needed to pick warrior or warden -- and she'd be even more rubbish at warrior -- and not because she actually was good at it or wanted to.

Pan silently listened to the talk between Peregrine and Sebastian, deciding to listen in for now so she could learn a thing or two extra about being a warden, too, for when the time came.

The questions Sebastian posed were arguably beginner's inquiries, though Peregrine didn't think it was a bad thing to go over the basics from time to time. He answered promptly, saying, "Use your judgment. If they're deep into the territory, go for the throat. If they're lingering near the outskirts and you feel they've made an honest mistake, you can always go for the shoulder or flank instead. But I really don't treat them much differently, to be honest. Any wolf with a nose and half a brain has no excuse to come anywhere near our territory unless they have a death wish."

His eyes flicked from Sebastian's face to Pan's, then back again. "I'll be the first to admit that this place made me soft. There's something about the customs here. Wolves are entirely too friendly with outsiders. I look back and can't believe I knowingly invited wolves from outside the pack into my territory before. I'm a bit disgusted at myself and my lack of basic instincts. I'm even more disgusted with this entire wilderness and its lack of wild. We've lost ourselves. The caldera's approach is to get back in tune with nature and our wild, wolfish selves."

Sebastian hoisted himself in a sitting position to look more attentive instead lethargically laying down. He was going to pay good attention to this lesson. Most of what Peregrine spoke about sounded very logical. Most of the things he heard before but now he would have no insecurity about how to attack in certain locations. He even found some truth in his alpha's words. It was silly to invite wolves in their home, it was their lands, no one outside this pack should set a paw in their territory. Redhawk definitely felt safer. "I can only agree," the young wolf spoke, thinking of his own changed behavior.

"I won't hesitate again next time, Peregrine," Sebastian spoke with a firm nod. Sebastian's eyes traveled to Pan. Wanting to pull him more in the conversation too. "How is your warden trade going, Pan?," he asked out of curiosity. They didn't talk that much after all. Sebastian showed genuine curiosity for the topic and how others might experience getting this trade. Maybe it was because he was in the infirmary currently that he didn't notice when there was an intruder but to him it seemed that there were less wolves approaching the caldera. Sebastian was still clueless about Peregrine's encounter with his father.

Pan listened silently to Perry's explanations, taking it all in. She wondered what she'd do when the day would come that she had to attack someone. She knew how to physically threaten someone to leave, but most wolves just, well... left. Pan didn't have much experience with actual battle. She had her large, masculine frame working for her, for even though there was a set of soft, submissive eyes in her skull, Pantaleimon knew how to look impressive upon the borders if need be. She had been taught well by the Sirens on that note, even though she had not needed to use it much in Redhawk Caldera thus far.

When Sebastian asked her about her trade, Pan felt nervous, because she felt like she was doing a horrible job at it. She hated to lie, but didn't want to look dumb or useless to the pack, so Pan awkwardly avoided answering the gist of the inquiry by saying: "Oh, uhm, I've been, y'know, patrolling and stuff." Not a lie, although not a straight answer. "I g-guess I should practise fighting more, or something..." Pan drifted off, feeling awkward talking about this, because she felt like a terrible warden. Perry had said it was important for the pack to feel safe in company of a warden, but Pan knew she was a horrible joke of a warden when it came to the real deal -- keeping intruders out -- even if she tried because she was required to do so.

Now might have been the perfect time to bring up the altercation with Sebastian's father, yet Peregrine had completely forgotten about it. There had been so many callers at the borders lately, all of them sent away with snarls and snaps, that he couldn't keep them straight anymore. But he had noticed that influx ebbing lately and he hoped it was the direct result of their behavior. Hopefully the word was out and the rest of the wolves in the Teekon Wilds knew to leave Redhawk Caldera well enough alone.

Ha, as if, Peregrine mused sarcastically when Sebastian shone the spotlight on Pan. The Alpha's smoky jade eyes flicked to his lover's face, softening as he stumbled through an answer. Not everyone in the pack could be a total hardass and, truthfully, Peregrine wouldn't want Pan to change his entire personality just for them. All he asked for was some effort and, as far as he could tell, his lover was keeping up with his end of the deal on that front.

"We can always do some wrestling, improve your reflexes and stuff," he quipped. "It'll be more fun than patrolling, which is the world's most boring if most necessary duty. Maybe when Seb's feeling better, we could even tag team him," Peregrine suggested, unaware that it might secretly sound like it contained a sexual innuendo.

Sebastian tipped his head a bit when Pan stumbled through his answer. The large young male was still not sure what to think of the other. He was so .. timid and shy. Sebastian could stumble through answers too at certain moments but now Sebastian felt like even talking to Pan would make him uncomfortable. He just wanted to show the other he was a total nice guy and didn't want to ignore the other. But alas, maybe it would just take some time and silent hang outs before the other was comfortable around him. "Sounds you have the right motivation," he smiled kindly.

Sebastian's interest peeked when Peregrine spoke about wrestling, he wasn't sure if he was his young brain that took it the wrong way or because his alpha meant it that way. Sebastian looked a bit skeptical. "Team tagging huh?," he repeated and looked at his alpha and then Pan skeptically. Then Sebastian decided that it was just his weird mind that saw something that wasn't there. "I would be totally open for it!," he returned, trying to sound enthusiastic for it, not realizing this might not be the be best thing to say in this moment.

Pantaleimon smiled awkwardly when Sebastian said she had the right motivation. Pan didn't feel that way at all: her motivation was based solely upon the fact that it was a requirement for being part of the pack nowadays. Her fortes did not lay in the areas that Peregrine desired, she knew -- well, for fellow pack mates, anyway; apparently the fields of love were different -- and she was feeling rather useless thinking about it all.

Peregrine provided distraction when he spoke of wrestling. Pantaleimon did not read into any possible double entendres, didn't notice them, and she looked hesitant for a moment before agreeing with a nod. "Sure, we could do that." Pan knew she wasn't very good at it, but that was probably the point of it all. "It helps that I'm kind of big, so uhm, sometimes I can pretend li-like they don't want to mess with me and it's enough." It had been enough plenty of times in Sirensong Cove, anyway. These were different lands, but wolves remained the same. Most would not risk their hide one on one for something as stupid as trespassing or food. Most chose to be safe rather than sorry and never found out just how easy it would've been to hurt Pantaleimon when she was defending pack lands.

I'm gonna fade this here, I think!

The other two seemed more or less game for the idea, so Peregrine jotted down a mental note to revisit it once Sebastian was back on his feet. Speaking of which, the Alpha thought it was probably best if he and Pan made like bananas and split so he could get his rest. Now that Peregrine's headache was gone, he really needed to go patrol anyway. Much as the task bored him, he would never stop doing it. And maybe he could take Pantaleimon along with him.

"Speaking of Wardening," the Alpha said, ignoring the fact that he'd just made up that word, "I need to hit the borders now that my headache's gone. Seb, get some rest so you can feel better soon. Pan, wanna come with me?" He nodded to Sebastian, then gave Pan's jaw a small lick before turning. With or without company, he would dutifully head out to get the job done.

Yep! This one was nice <3 Last post from me.

Sebastian looked from the alpha to Pan. It seemed their meeting came to an end, which wasn't that troublesome for Sebastian. He felt tired, and would more than oblige with Peregrine's command for him to rest. Sebastian laid down again, looking worriedly at Dove for a moment. It didn't look like she was going to make it. Poor soul. He laid against her to keep her warm, he was startled how cold she felt. He only moved closer to her to keep her warm. It wasn't a good sign at all. He feared the worst but he wasn't going to give up on her.

Pantaleimon nodded when Peregrine said it was time to patrol. She looked at Dove briefly, following Sebastian's gaze, before offering Sebastian a soft smile paired with a curt nod and slipping away with Perry. It was a relief to be out there -- not because she didn't like Sebastian's company, but because Pan was just more comfortable on her own: and with those wolves she enjoyed being with.

Pan nudged Perry's face as they were off, ready to patrol the borders. She hoped that it would be quiet and that they would run into no one else there, so that it could be just the two of them there.
