Set close to the borders~ @Nemesis

Ragdoll was lost. Not normal lost, either, but lost-lost. Somehow he’d managed to pass right by the destination he’d picked out, and didn’t even notice until it was too late. Usually, he’d consider himself decent at navigating, but it started to become apparent to him that that just wasn’t the case. In his home land, he was good at finding his way, but that was only because he’d traveled over the land so many times that the trails were engraved in his brain. The second he was taken out of that area, however, he’d ended up finding himself in Teekon—which was a long, long way from home. His sense of direction was mediocre, at best, and that really showed as he wandered the Wilds. He’d passed right on by a mountain, for christ’s sake! Like, how does someone manage to do that? Someone probably couldn’t accomplish that even if they tried. On one hand, that meant he was skilled in some way, but too bad that skill was probably the worst possible ability anyone could ever acquire.

Even after he’d realized he was way off course, the hybrid didn’t turn around. Figuring it was safer to just keep walking forward, he did just that. A bad call, on his part. He’d crossed the creek and still kept going, though the strong scent of a pack’s border had him slowing. Alert, his ears pushed forward and his tail hung like a sickle over his back. Though tempted to go around, he decided to approach, instead. Now, Ragdoll knew the dangers of entering a pack’s land better than anyone, having always needed to be extra careful thanks to his appearance. That was why he didn’t plan to cross into the territory, but he did want to see if he could find anyone hanging around the border. Perhaps they could point him in the right direction. So, with every inch of him on high alert, he approached the heavily marked borders and began nosing around, trying to pick out an individual’s scent from the mass of ones that coated the ground.

Sorry about the wait!

Letting out a long awaited sigh, she plunked down to the frozen ground. The morning, she had woken up to find a thin layer of frost coating the ground, a mere sign that Winter was approaching faster than she had previously thought. The stress of cache collecting, the medicine, the everything had taken a physical toll on her, as she found herself wanting to sleep more than just her normal few hours. Yet, in the midst of her own demise, everything around her seemed to be fine. They had a new Beta in town, Burke's children were here and she found herself actually enjoying Xan's obnoxious company. It was almost as if she was unconsciously trying to find a reason not to enjoy the time while it lasted, knowing fully something would happen to ruin it all. It always did.

Only mere seconds into her nap did her nose twitch, a new scent carried along the chilling breeze right under her nose. She was stationed near the borders, abandoning her previous shelter to one less suitable but closer to the borders where a few loners were bound to cross over. Though none had specifically asked her to warden the territory lines, the faster the nights turned cold, the more packless become desperate, seeking anything to hold shelter or food. It was the same thing she would have done. Yet, now that there were more children and she couldn't take the chance of anyone getting hurt, especially Xan who she knew would purposely go looking for trouble. She knew that Burke ran the borders very frequently, but he had other duties too, she knew and whatever she could do to help, she would.

Pulling herself to her feet, her eyes darted around, carefully but quickly surveying the land. Whoever it was, they weren't welcome, and she would make sure that they were immediately disposed of at any cost. Her pace quickened extensively as her ears flattened against her skull while she traveled toward the dingy scent.
Nearing the border, a figure moved in the distance, not one she recognised. The wolf didn't look completely like a wolf, to her great suspicion. Perhaps it was one of those stupid hybrids who thought they could pass as being normal. She never liked dog, the narrow minded, premature, distant, non-related descendants of her kind. They were insufferable in their blind actions and useless minds, and she couldn't care less if they in some way shared part of the same DNA.
A malicious snarl started from the depths of her anger, that this freak had dared to enter her land. Her shadow loomed to the side, casting a dark shadow behind her as she advanced threateningly to the thing.
"Dog," she spat, with all the hate she would muster. There was nothing holding her back for once, as this was a trespasser and trespassers were to be eliminated on sight. "Wrong turn," she snarled, in a cruel laugh as she dove at the wolf thing, trying to push it past the borders into unclaimed land. At least then she could track it down, far away from the pack.

It's fine, aha.
Ahhh, poor Ragdoll doesn't even know what's coming... >w>

Ragdoll knew the dangers. He was well aware of what could happen if he drew too close to a territory, and yet he’d done so anyways. Not only that, but he’d unconsciously crossed over into the claimed land. A mistake, he knew, and one he’d frantically started to correct the second he realized what had happened. Alas, it was too late. Already he’d been noticed, earning him a menacing snarl from a darkened woman. Then there came the one word he could not stand being called, but never had the guts to stand up to those who referred to him as such. He understood why he’d been called a dog, having learned from a young age that his looks were something of a disgrace to his wolf ancestry. Hardly anyone had ever dared speak such words aloud in his home pack, but the surrounding ones and strangers were never that kind. His maw parted ways, then, words of correction about to fall out, but they never came. More words were snarled out at him, forcing his jaws to snap shut and his ears to fall flat against his skull. The fur along his back bristled, while his tail hung like a sickle overtop his hind. The woman came towards him, and he quickly moved out of the way, though not without some of his chest fur getting snagged.

That movement alone was all he needed, and the boy instantly fell back. His legs carried him directly into no man’s land, though his pale optics never left the form of his attacker. “I didn’t mean to enter your territory,” he stated quickly, wishing to try and get his defense out before things escalated. “I was just looking for someone to give me directions, and must’ve crossed over the border on accident. I swear I’ll leave right now.” His entire body remained stiff as he spoke, pleading his case against the stranger who’d lunged for him. The hybrid did not hold it against her, knowing well he had no one but himself to blame. He should have been paying closer attention to where he was going, rather than ignoring every lesson he’d ever been taught as a puppy.

Her anger only heightened as a few of the male's dog hair caught in her teeth, mere centimeters from snagging his skin. Her muscle had grown quite drastically since she had arrived, even so in the past few weeks as she continually trained harder and harder. Yet, her mass increased, lessing in her agility for the season. But, the small failure came as a large realisation as she was slower now than she had been before. The thought only furiated her even more, as the mutt dared to speak directly to her. Who did he think he was? He had idiotically trespassed and now no mercy would be shown. Especially not to him.

Her snarl rumbled from deep inside her, growing in it's power and fury. "Hmm, too late," She maliciously grinned as she paced around the frightened boy, her uncompassionate cold eyes trained on his figure. His case was invalid to her ears, no thought to his pitiful pleads made a difference in her heart. "Blood of those who passed through mark these borders, as will yours when i'm finished,"
She sized him up, her body growing as she slowly paced forward, her inconsolable and unreachable eyes burning into his. Her main priority was to drive him away, then she could have her fun. It had been too long since she had her ways, too long since she shed innocent  blood. Even though he had committed a clear crime, his spilt blood would do just fine for the time being.

You have my full permission to tackle or do whatever to Ragdoll from here on out, aha.

If he’d been human, his face would have visibly paled as the woman’s words slipped out through grinning lips. He knew what he had done was often viewed as an unforgivable crime by packs, but still he could not help but think she was taking things too far. Perhaps that was due to his want to live, to continue to roam the earth as he’d always done. The boy was not yet ready to meet death, he still had a long life ahead of him. He’d yet to see everything he wished to in the world, and hadn’t even the chance to fall for someone yet. He’d only just recently completed his first year of life, too. The hybrid was young, lacking wisdom in many things still, but there was one thing he did know, something he was certain of—his want to live. “I don’t want to die…” he murmured, voice hardly above a whisper. His pale optics stuck to the female’s form like glue, widened and reflecting nothing but his fear of what the outcome may be.

As she started to advance towards him, that fear grew. It continued to grow and spread, drowning the yearling in his own terrors. Without thinking, Ragdoll turned and bolted. His heart was pounding furiously against his ribcage, and the sound quickly became the only thing he could hear. He didn’t look back as he ran, nor did he pace himself like he knew he should. The boy continued to push his legs faster and faster, not wanting to give the woman a chance to catch him. Every so often he’d trip himself up and stumble a bit, but something granted him the ability to regain his footing before being force fed a mouthful of dirt. Never did he bother to look back, to see if she’d given chase. All he did was hope that he was successful in his escape, and that he would live to see another day.

I assume you want him alive tho..?

Her lips curled up in a malevolent smile as she heard a whimper escape from the mutt. Maybe it was the realisation of his impending doom, the fact that nothing could save him now. She hoped his ears were ringing and his heart was beating out of his chest. She hoped this heart rate was surging and his frame was quivering. She wanted him to feel her wrath, and feel the horror of all the rest who had dared cross their borders. She had no mercy for his cires or pleads, he needed to face the consequences of this actions regardless of his youth.

As the mutt darted away, her crooked smile only grew wider showing the ivory daggers that hid behind. Instinctively, her ears flattened against her skull and she ran after the male. Cold air bristled through her warm fur in opposite direction , sending a refreshing chill down her spine. It seemed fate was on her side as the mutt stumbled on his footsteps.
"Give it up now, you'll never escape this" She called out, pure malevolence in her voice. And it was true, no force on earth could stop her from tearing this mutt apart, unless her Alpha commanded it so. Catching up to him, she snapped at his heels, in teasing torture. It only took her a second to find solid footing and throw herself at his being, nails extended to dig themselves into his hide. Everything was thrown into the blow, her hate and anger, all bad things combined. She would use her body weight to drag him down, if her claws caught his skin like she planned. From there, he take down would be easy, quick and effective like Burke had taught her. Or maybe she would have her fun, drag him away to some secluded cave to spend the rest of his days in the dark. It all depended on the fight he put up.

I would like for him to make it out of this alive, but am not against him being at risk of dying later on. That being said, feel free to do as much damage as you’d like—or take him as a captive, if that’s what you decide. uwu

A voice came from behind him, muffled by the sound of his rapid heartbeat, but no less understandable. He caught the words and the tone, which only made the thumping in his chest increase. She was taunting him, treating the situation as if it was some sort of sick game. With each second that ticked by, he wished harder and harder that she would grow bored and head back to whatever hell she’d clawed her way out of. He must have committed a terrible sin in a past life, however, because the exact opposite happened. She continued to pursue him, catching up just enough to nip and snap at his heels. The boy’s tail tucked neatly between his legs, and though his body ached and screamed for him to stop, he kept going. Fear-induced adrenaline was the only thing keeping his body from shutting down right then and there, but even that didn’t seem to be capable of aiding him in his escape.

Before Ragdoll could even register what was happening, he felt blunt claws dig into his hide, and it was all over from there. Within milliseconds, he was dragged down to the ground by the sheer weight of the woman, and there was nothing any part of him could do to recover from the hit. His legs buckled under the mass of her body, and he was soon sent tumbling and sliding across the earth. The boy’s left side took most of the blow, and was scraped to high hell in the process, leaving behind bare patches and terrible road rash. So far, he couldn’t feel a thing, the adrenaline like a drug in his system and keeping the true pain he was feeling away. In another attempt to save himself, the hybrid started acting on instinct, squirming around and trying to snap at whatever part of the woman he could get his jaws close to. The movements were completely uncoordinated, revealing his obvious lack of combat training. Still, he kept at it, wanting nothing more than to leave with his life.

MUWAHAHAHA- I meant, thanks ;)

As her teeth sunk into his flesh, a wicked course of adrenaline found it's way through her body unlike anything she had felt before. Yes, she had killed before, but now it was different. Her mind was corrupt with darkened anger, her body a weapon of destruction and her thoughts all the more maleficent. Before, she had been a wayward teen with only revenge on her mind but now her soul was rejuvenated. It had been too long.

She had pinned him on the ground, impossible for him to escape without struggle. The smell of blood reached the nose, indicating that he had been scrapped in the process of her attack. The mutt struggled against her force, squirming in different directions in pitiful resistance. It was truly pathetic, like a worm under her paw desperate to breathe again. His moves were unadept, easy to avoid and expect. Honestly, his existence was pointless if he could only fight like he did. Either she could end him there or someone else would.
Digging her teeth into the nape of bis neck, she held him onto him in such a way that it would be painful for him to move. The tug of her teeth against his flesh would be painful, leaving his situation to her advantage. She heaved herself off of the ground her teeth tightening together against the soft skin of his neck, sure to draw blood. He couldn't run without tearing a chunk of skin out of his neck. She would drag him to Blackfeather, a cave she had discovered a little while ago. As far as she knew, nobody resided there. Wolfskull. It was perfect.

No matter how many times he tried to get out from beneath her, he was met with failure. His kicks were easily avoided, doing nothing but draining him of his energy. The rush of adrenaline that had hit him was already beginning to ebb away, his body becoming overrun with an even stronger sense of terror. It was too much to keep him kicking, and instead made his body shut down altogether. Frightened to the point of paralysis, really, essentially sealing his fate. The only motion he was successful in completely was parting his maw to allow a yelp of pain to escape when teeth found their way to his neck. Nearing the darkened woods had been a foolish decision. Running without paying any mind to where he was going had been a foolish decision. Walking directly into a human’s trap so long ago had, clearly, been a foolish decision. The yearling regretted it all, and would give anything to take each and every mistake back. He’d been an idiot to believe that he would actually have a chance at surviving in a place so far from his home. Staying, he realized, was the worst of his terrible choices.

When she pulled herself up, the skin her teeth had sunk themselves into was pulled as well. A new pain was felt, followed by a fresh, coppery scent, informing the boy that she’d broken his skin. A whimper sounded from his throat, uncertain of what else he could do. He couldn’t understand how someone could be so cruel, or why she’d continued to pursue him even after he’d left the borders of her pack. “Please…” he pleaded, voice quiet out of fear that anything else would call forth even more anguish. “Let me go, and I’ll never come back. You’ll never see me again, I swear.” Ragdoll didn’t want to die. He didn’t want his life to be stolen from him over an accident. He doubted any other outcome aside from death, unable to consider for even a second that he might be spared. Still, he had to hope, since that was all he had left.

Nemesis growled as she sunk her teeth deeper into the hybrid's flesh, letting out a "Shut up!" through gritted teeth. Nothing on earth would pry her away from her victory, no pleads and cries would reach her ears. Her heart was as black as midnight with no remorse to be found. One could try but never succeed in scrubbing of the blackened hate that surrounded her soul. All efforts to revive herself had died out a long while ago and no improvement to be made.

Nearing Wolfscull, she could smell the scent of dried blood in the area. No doubt, the blood of all the captives Blackfeather had harboured over the years. No wolf was currently kept there, from what she knew. Better for me, she thought wickedly. The mutt was still whimpering as she pulled him into the cave. It was a dank place, as if a thousand screams had left the place broken and haunted. Bones laid strewn around the cave, in particular, assorted fauna bones. It was it's own grave. Finding a small alcove, big enough for the hybrid but still cramped, she tossed him in. The cave was big enough to muffle the sound of any screams or cries for help.

Smirking gleefully in her own malicious way, she looked down on him with pure maleficence in her eyes.  If it were possible, her eyes would be glowing red with fury. Maybe it was because she seen a bit of her past self in the boy, the weak, defenseless, innocent girl who had grown up too soon and too quickly. And that part had to be crushed.

No matter how much he begged and whimpered, his request was not met. The deal he’d attempted to strike up was smothered before it could even come aglow, leaving him without a single idea as to what was to be done next. Running was, of course, out of the question. Her grip was far stronger than he’d been hoping it would be, jaws clamped like a vise around his flesh. Any efforts put into trying to break free of it would only end badly for him, that he was certain of. The boy valued his freedom, but he also valued his life. Breaking away would surely steal a great chunk of flesh from his body, which would most definitely become infected due to no medical treatment being given. Plus, that was only if he’d actually be successful in getting free, and the chances of that happening were slim. Eventually, he just allowed for himself to go limp, the full picture of his situation settling into space within his mind. There was no escaping the demon’s grasp, so why waste the precious energy he had left attempting to do so? That energy could very well be used for far more productive things later on, and so he did not fight back any longer.

Ragdoll become what his name suggested he was as he was tossed into a cramped space within a darkened cave. He caught site of bones whenever he’d decided to let his eyes explore, and the scent of blood entered his nose from being within the hellacious landmark. There wasn’t a single thing he liked about the place, and wanted so desperately to be set loose from his new prison. Yet, he knew that would not happen—not yet, anyways. Someday, perhaps, he would be presented with the perfect opportunity to escape, but for now he knew he needed to remain patient. His wounds needed to heal, and his strength regained. His pale eyes found their way to the woman’s face once more, a concoction of emotions swimming within them. She was an enemy, and that was a fact he would forever recognize.
