All Welcome
Please jump right in, all welcome :D

Pietro hadn't ventured far from his beloved sister or father. Wolves he didn't recognize spit in and out from his den, never learning their names. For some strange reason, he had felt to protective of his father and sister to see the outside world. He knew his father was grown, and @Kendra could fend for herself. Pietro just felt like the moment he stepped away from the den, an entire band of lone wolves would over run Blackfeather Woods. He poked his nose out, and he was instantaneously overwhelmed by the smells of wolves and prey. He turned his head around to see Kendra sleeping soundly. His father was out, and in Pietro's tiny mind, he was saving the world. He focused back on the outside world, and took a few brave steps out. He had been outside the den before, but Pietro wanted to go further than he normally was allowed. He took a few steps out, his chest puffed out. He confidently walked a few paces, still in clear sight of the den, but if his sister woke up, she wouldn't be able to see him. A pang of guilt made him stop. He could get busted for this, but he really wanted to meet some of his pack members. He looked around, trying to search out some movement before someone, or something jumped out at him.

Kendra soon noticed when her brother was away. She missed his warmth and roused from her nap. When she woke she frowned. The den was empty and her brother was gone. Having a strong bond with her brother she disliked that he was not around. She jumped to her feet and climbed out of the den. She looked around the clearing not seeing him. "Piettrrroooooo," she half called out/ half howled for him. She was really discovering her voice. Then she stepped through the snow, seeing his prints. The girl was smart enough to follow them.

She trotted after the prints her brother made, having been outside of the clearing before. Once she saw him she let out a squeak and rushed to him, to then tackle him to the ground. "Pietro! You leaff!!!!!," she complained and nipped his ear. She then tried to grab behind his scruff between his shoulder mimicking her father's correction when they did something that he disliked. She disliked Pietro leaving even though she was guilty of it to. She didn't stay mad for long though. "Want together go?," she asked him.

Pietro's eyes were gazing at the world around him. It was a big world out there, and Pietro wanted to see all of it. His thinking was interrupted when his sister call for him sprang through the air. H turned to face her just as she tackled him. He laughed, though this was supposed to be some form of punishment from his sister. He yelped a bit when she nipped his ear. He ran his raspy tongue over Kendra's cheek. "Yes." he said as he nodded. "Together."

Kendra got off her brother and shook out her small body. Her brother was already bigger than her, with longer legs. She didn't mind though. But she was certain that her brother would always be bigger than her. He would probably be as big as father. His long legs definitely indicated that. The youngster then started trotting forward. Her tail was up. She was excited to explore some of the forest. She knew the clearing by now. Hopefully their dad would take them on more trips. Though she did like the darkness of the den better. If her father had to show her the web under the BFW ground she would never resurface possibly.

Kendra looked over her shoulder if her brother was still there. Then she jumped onto a big rotten log and walked over it with quite the balance. "Oh! Pietro!," she squeaked and jumped off on the other side. It was where the swamp was starting which could potentially very dangerous for the pups. Kendra's dark paws sank a bit in the wet grounds. Further up ahead there was more water. Kendra wasn't sure if she liked all that water up ahead but it was interesting to see. "We go?," she wondered, asking him if they should go further.

Pietro responded to her question by racing into the mud. It felt funny under his paws. He too, liked the darkness of the den, but he really wanted to explore around. The smell overwhelmed him as he walked further into the mud. He gagged. "Smell bad." he said. He turned back to his sister to watch her. He walked closer to her and gave an open invitation from her to lean on him, as he almost tripped and fell head first into the stinky goo. He licked her ear. He jumped as a raven flew from the trees. He made a tiny bark, trying to scare the bird away.

Kendra felt surprisingly at home especially with her brother next to her. The dark colored female disagreed with her brother. "Smells strong, not bad," she corrected him. She didn't find it necessarily bad to smell. It was just different, and quite strong. She turned her head as her brother as he licked her ear. She returned a smile to him, only shown to her brother or her father. His long legs always made him a bit of a stumbling mess. She let out the softest giggle. She liked her brother. Kendra's eyes followed the bird her brother barked at it. She had seen more of them around, maybe they were part of their pack.

Kendra stepped deeper into the mud, sinking away a bit into it. Her ears fell back since she wasn't used that the ground would do such a thing. She pulled herself out, a bit wary of this part of the forest. "Not go. Ground is ... sink," she spoke to her brother. She eyed at him, Pietro might be protective of her but she was protective of him too. The way she eyed at him was clearly a 'don't-be-stupid' look.

Pietro frowned as his sister gave him The look. he squished his way into land, where his sister awaited him. His tail wagged. He walked away from Kendra, and forcefully shopkeeper his body of, letting bits of mud fly off in every direction. He walked back over, and scanned his sister with his nose and eyes, making sure he didn't tag her with mud. He took a step back and looked at the muddy mess of an area. It was winter, so the snow soaked into the ground in this area, making it even more muddy. He giggled as a grasshopper or a cricket jumped by the siblings feet. Let's look around. he said. A grown up sentence for a little pup.

Kendra looked at her brother going deeper into the mud but she wasn't sure if she liked that. The female kept her eyes glued on him. "Pietro. Lets go. Come backs with Father," she spoke to him. Kendra rather wanted Father to be with them and explain about this than to do this on their own. Normally she wasn't that bothered with keeping to the rules but the fact that this could potentially very dangerous made her dislike the place now. "No. We go," she let out determinedly. "Come backs with daddy," she spoke, very keen on coming back but with their father.

Pietro frowned and followed his sisters commands. His head hung low, sometimes being a pup sucked, no one thought you could do things on your own. He was happy he had a loving family, because he knew some didn't. Play hide and seek? he asked he was trying to think of new games for them to play, and his father told him about this one. Pietro didn't want to o straight back to the den, he wants do stay out longer.

Kendra looked at her brother. "Hide and seek no like. You gone and no," she spoke in protest. Hide and seek was not the game she liked to play because then she would have to loose her brother out of her eye and she rather had him close to her. She then jumped him. "TAG!," she called out and then dashed off. She ran off a bit, out of reach of her brother but close to check if he was following her. Pietro was usually faster with his long legs but at least that mean that she didn't have to search for him. This play of tag was the nicer game. Though they would probably come home covered in mud.

Pietro was disappointed at his sister response to his offering of hide and go seek. He understood why though. Pietro jumped at Kendra's sudden burst of energy. He laughed as he tried to catch up with her, as she stood waiting for him. "Gonna get you!" he yipped. His long legs made it easier to catch up, but he didn't know how to use them quite yet.

Kendra let out an excited giggle when Pietro started chasing her. She ran around the edges of the swamp but it only took a few moments when she would be tackled down by her brother and his long legs. Kendra was soon covered in mud. Not that she minded. She had her own way of seeing things and now she was just more in tune with her surroundings. Maybe It would be more difficult for Pietro to see her. She then had to do the same to him, trying to jump on him now, chasing after him.

Pietro laughed when his sister was covered in mud, but turned tail when she tried to chase him. He ran at a slower pace, because when he ran fast, he wasn't the most graceful wolf. He let out an excited squeak as her jumped onto a log, a small one, but big enough to have it be a chore to get up there. He laughed thinking Kendra wouldn't be able to reach him. He saw his sister in the distance. "Mud monster!" He yelled as loud as he could, then laughed. He got into a playful position, sticking his butt in the air, and wagging his tail. His tongue hung out of his mouth as he stood waiting.

Kendra chased after him but soon grew cold. Her under fur was wet too and with the drying mud she didn't really feel comfortable at all. She tried to jump up on the log but she couldn't reach it. Then Pietro made the motion to play but she couldn't get to him. A soft whine came from her lips. She started to shiver slightly. "Pietro.. H-Home..," she let out. "Cold." Kendra's want to play vanished the more the cold winds were tugging on her wet and muddy fur. She dislikes it so that tears popped into her eyes. She wanted her daddy. "Wanna go to daddy," she let out. She thought playing in the mud was fun but in this freezing weather it hadn't been smart.

Pietro's excitement quickly turned to worry. He jumped down and touched noses with his sister. "Don't cry." he said in a soothing voice. He pressed his body against hers to try to transfer some kind of warmth. He walked along side her, but her knew this wasn't a good idea, and Kendra's safety came first. They walked under a tree. "Lay down. I'm gonna go call for daddy." he said before walking a few paces forward, still in complete sight of Kendra. He took a deep breath, and howled. Obviously it was s short, soft howl, but to Pietro it was a grown up howl. He turned back to his sister and curled around her body, acting as a shield against the weather. He started licking the mud off her body while they waited for their father. The mud tasted disgusting, but he continued to lick.

@Burke if you want to join.

Burke happened to be close by when he heard Pietro's howl. But it wasn't coming from the Spiderlings' Glen. He instantly rushed forward. He howled that he was coming. Burke never ran for anything but now he did. Why did Pietro howl? It sounded serious. Burke ran, it didn't take long to reach them at all. He spotted his son around a very muddy Kendra. Burke frowned and stopped before the twins. "What is the meaning of this!?," he called out. He didn't wait for an answer from Pietro. He noticed something was wrong.

He didn't expect his children to explore the swamps so soon. Briefly he was mad but then he saw Kendra trembling. "She needs the walk, run even," he spoke and nudged her up. Her muscles had to stay warm. He gave her a bit of a harsh nip. Foolish children. "You have to be strong now. Come on. Up," he urged, his alpha voice coming from his throat. She also needed to wash the mud off her body, it was going to harden soon.

Kendra couldn't help but sniffle a bit as the winds tugged on her wet body. She didn't really want to move. She was so cold. It was quite a surprise how soon the cold sunk into her bones. Still her need to be close to her brother made her follow him. When he told her to lie she sank down. Her ears fell back. She hoped Daddy would be there soon. She didn't think this was any fun. It didn't take long for her father to be there. But he looked a bit mad. She leaned a bit in Pietro's licks. Still cold. "D-Daddy!," she squeaked out, stammering in cold. She wasn't to phased that he was mad.

She wanted to protest, she really didn't want to walk. Probably her father saw it on her face but she got a  nip in her but. She jumped up in shock and then looked at her father with big sad eyes, body trembling. She fell back down on her butt. Her pale eyes casted up, nodding softly as he spoke to her that she had to be strong. She pushed her feet under her. Kendra didn't flinch under Burke's harsher tactics. She was used to them. If she did something he didn't like her father would make that know. She started walking, looking for Pietro briefly, knowing that he would probably be soon next to her. "So cold, Daddy," she whispered as she walked, following her daddy.

The pup watched as his father came racing in. He didn't want Kendra to get up, he was still wrapped around her and he was slowly warming her. When he nipped her, he instantly jumped up and barked at his father. He didn't realize it was just a nip, but he was over protective of her. "Don't bite her!" he yelled loudly. "I can warm her!" he added, just as loud. He walked up to his father and stared at him. His eyes mixed with fear and anger. He trotted after his sister, ears flat against his head, looking down. He was going to be busted. He didn't think before he acted, but he was protective.

Burke let out a soft growl as his son showed disobedience by talking back to her. He understood that Pietro might be protective but he also had to understand Burke would never hurt his daughter or son. He instantly moved his muzzle to Pietro too, giving him a nip too, it was not more than a light gaze of his teeth. A mere warning instead of it hurting. The father was disciplining his son in a very normal way for parents or adult wolves. He even used this technique on disobedient subordinates. "Behave,"he warned him.

"I would never hurt you and your sister. Ever. I am however you father and I will correct you if needed. The way you were trying to keep her warm might not have been the right one, Pietro. Your intentions were good but with her laying down her muscles would have grown cold, her limbs would have frozen and her blood would eventually stop flowing," he explained. Mentoring him about how a body worked, maybe it was still too complicated for the young boy to understand but Burke wanted to give him a sense of knowledge. He was mated to a healer and had been a warrior himself. He wasn't a healer himself but he knew how his body worked. "You did good in calling me, son. But don't howl for my help and then tell me what to do," he spoke to him, his tone calm, never yelling, though it did have a slightly scolding tone.

Burke started trotting now, expecting his children to follow him. He did held back a bit so Kendra could keep up. He didn't want to overwork her young muscles. Then father took a turn to the right and went underground into the tunnels. "Stay close," he spoke, keeping his pace into a trot. Burke kept a close eye on where he placed his feet, not wanting to step on them, or lose them in the tunnels. It didn't take long before they came by an underground lake, away from the winds and cold. "Get in Kendra," he spoke.

Kendra winced when her father reached out and nipped Pietro too. Her brother's gesture had been so kind but apparently their father didn't think so. She kept on walking close to her father's feet as he explained to Pietro about ... something. She didn't fully get it, only the part that if she had been laying there it would have turned out badly for her. Kendra swallowed. It seems they both have a lot to learn. At least her daddy had been there to help them both. When Burke started trotting Kendra followed, whining a bit, though more to herself than in protest. She eyed at Pietro and licked his shoulder to comfort him. That was the one body part she could reach while trotting after her father.

Kendra noticed that she was getting warmer, like when she ran too much she had to pant to let out the heat. Now she was making her own heat! Wow! Her pale eyes looked up at her father in amazement. He had really impressed his daughter for a moment. Kendra felt a flood of relief wash through her once they went underground, through in these underground tunnels she had never been. The wind could not reach her and there was no snow here. This proved that being underground was better than being outside. She stayed close to her father and Pietro, finding comfort with them. Soon they reached an underground lake and she obeyed her father to go in. The water was not as cold as outside but it was still cold. The mud washed off quickly enough.

She gotten out quickly and shook out her mud free coat to then run to her brother and father for warmth. She snuggled against her father and Pietro. She was at least feeling much better already, and at least here those strong winds couldn't make her colder. Plus she had her strong papa and amazing brother close to her now. "Love you both," she then whispered.

Pietro wasn't surprised at his fathers reaction. He hung his head low as he trotted behind the two. When Kendra licked his shoulder he looked up at her for a second and gave a tiny, forced smile. He blamed himself for this, if he didn't call his father, Kendra could have died. He understood his fathers explanation of the wolf body. He followed his family into the caverns, and watched as Kendra got in. The water ripped around her as the mud slowly came free of her fur. Her charcoal pelt could now be seen. Pietro licked Kendra as she snuggled up to their father. He laid down, with his head still up, looking around the cavern. He again, ran his tongue over the top of his sisters head, pulling a straggling piece of mud and whispered back: "I love you to."

The alpha sat down as Kendra went into the water. After Kendra came out Burke looked down to see Kendra and Pietro snuggled against him. It was sort of heart melting. "I love you both too," he spoke to them. He wasn't mad at them anymore. At least they called him for help. Still the alpha wouldn't be a counselor if he wasn't going to finish his mentoring job. "See your father will always be there to save you. Even though foolish I will still help you two," he spoke.

"It is winter now, meaning it is cold. Snow is on the ground and when you get wet it gets dangerous, especially if you don't have your thick winter for yet. But now you both learned how to keep warm. Just run around, get warm. Never stand still for too long. Water is a funny thing, it can become hard when it is really cold," he spoke calmly in explanation to the both of his children. He leaned down and gave them a lick over their heads to then help Pietro licking Kendra dry. "Feeling better?," he asked, meant for the both of them.

Kendra was glad that she was snuggled between to heat sources. She definitely felt much better now than she did before. She smiled when Daddy said that he loved them back. Kendra knew he wasn't going to stay mad for long, he never stayed mad for a long time. Kendra was definitely going to use that to her advantage later. Still she was very glad her father wasn't mad at her now. She wanted his comfort, and she learned her lesson, don't go near the swamps when it is cold.

Her father then explained that water, which they would drink, could turn hard. She quickly wondered if she would drink a lot of water it would turn hard in her belly. She wanted to ask her father but all this playing and feeling cold left her tired. "Much better, Daddy," she let out and slowly curled up. She needed a good nap, and wanted nothing rather to be sandwiched between her Father's warm belly and her brother's body. "Pietro is super brother," she then whispered to him.

Pietro listened as his father explained temperature to the pups. The world was an amazing place. Pietro had only seen two of the four seasons, which he didn't quite know to much about. "When water gets hard it could be fun to run on right?" he whispered extremely quietly to his father. As Kendra curled up to sleep and whispered to him, Pietro smiled. He was happy she was ok, and the siblings would be so much more careful during winter. He licked her head, saying the same back to her. He looked back up at his father, waited for a response.

Burke sank down into a laying position. He turned his head as Pietro asked him a question. Burke was a bit hesitant to say yes. "Hard water is also named Ice. Ice can be really dangerous, Pietro. I would not like you to run on it even though it might be fun. Sometimes the ice isn't strong enough and you can fall through in the water," he explained to him. Burke was very serious about these things, and maybe a bit protective. "Ice is also really slippery and you can hurt yourself if you fall on the hard ground. So please don't go on the ice unless I checked it first," he spoke to him, his tones softer since Kendra had fallen asleep by now.

Burke nudged the youngster with his muzzle aways asking so many questions and being interested in so many things. Burke smiled a bit. "You go rest too, young man," he pointed out.

You can skip Kendra because she is sleeping already! <3 Feel free to wrap up this thread! I will archive after your post!
