All Welcome
The pack must have vacated the area a while ago, but Farstep's keen eye and nose picked up the signs of their former habitation.

A trek beyond the borders of the ridge brought him to this plateau, wide and sprawling and covered in deep woods. The smell of deer was prevalent, but he could tell from the abandoned dens littered about, the dug up caches and the old, dusty remains of waste that wolves had been here once. Who they were and why they left would always be a mystery, however, for he had neither the words nor the care to pursue the answers.

The agouti's tail swept idly behind him as he explored the inner heart of the plateau. Here, nestled close to the mountain's sheer face, he found a den apart from the others. He poked his head inside, licking his chops in anticipation of finding something to bring back home, but all there was was a dark spot upon the earth, soaked in so long ago that the scent of blood no longer lingered. His eyes remained on it for a moment, and then he pulled back out of the hole, unhappy with the lack of objects here.

He continued trekking along until he found what must have been the pack's former borders. There was still a very faint and stale scent here, suggesting the wolves had left a while ago but not so long that the earth had reclaimed itself completely, and promptly Farstep laid down and rolled over the faint scent markings in hopes of picking them up and returning them to his leaders for inspection.
Formerly Farstep. Name changed to suit the fact that he has no known name.
