All Welcome

the dunkel wolf prowled the edge of the meer, her gaze affixed on the seals that tipped the breakers just out of reach. she knew they were food -- and she pined dearly for their fleisch. they were too risky a prey for her to wage her strength against. she would have to wait until one washed ashore dead. grumbly, the old crone sat in the sand and scowled darkly out into the ocean.

The man prowled along in sight of the sea lions. They had a terrible smell he wished on only his deepest enemies. Another scent fell upon him, a female. He prowled his way over, following her scent trail. He stopped when he was in partially clear view of her. "Ahoj." he spoke quietly, almost in a whisper, in his native tongue. He swished his tail as he glanced over her frame. Cogitemus gave a small smile as he caught her look at the sea lions. "Mohl bys jako na chytit jidlo?" he spoke. He tilted his head before correcting himself. "Would you like to catch some food?" he corrected himself, with a thick accent. "Jsem Cogitemus." he said before flashing her a smile.

the she-wolf's attention had been fastened on the lions -- but the distinct sound of sand crunching underpaw caused her to snap her wizened muzzle in the direction of the advancing 'intruder'. he was male, and dark furred -- the she-wolf watched him with a baleful stare. in other wolves perhaps confusion would have flooded their countenances once they witnessed cogitemus' speech -- in eyjolfur, only a dark expression simmered. it was not unusual for the old crone to have no living idea of what others were saying. "ich spreche Deutsch." she spoke lowly, her tongue harsh against the roof of her mouth.

The man's interest was sparked when the girl spoke another language. "Dobre missy, dobry potkat te." He said, eyeing her. "Nice to meet you." he spoke gruffly, before looking at the seals. He turned his head back and raised his eyebrow, asking her if she wanted dinner.

the dark-furred male spoke again -- and once more, his speech may have well be unintelligible. however, eyjolfur was no simpleton -- she trailed his angled gaze towards the seals, who intermittently broke the surf with their sleek heads. the old crone stepped forwards, her ears cast ahead in interest as she surveyed the distance between them. the surf was too strong to risk it -- and the seals well beyond her reach. "es ist zu tief." she concluded simply, knowing full well he wouldn't have the slightest idea of what she had just said. all the same she prowled down the cold strand, looking for any stragglers that could possibly be converted into a meal.

The man followed closely behind the girl, when his eye caught a seal. One that had a large gnash on it's side, and it lye, bleeding out far from the raft of seals. He cocked his head and pointed his muzzle to the seal.

the crone stopped as the sable-pelted male paused, a singular torn ear whipped back as she tried to evince from his expression why he had halted. she followed his gaze and incredulity chipped the somber expression clear from her countenance -- she couldn't believe her luck.

hunkering down, the ribald she-wolf prowled forth, committing to a wide circle as she awaited her darker counterpart to execute the first move.

The man followed behind, as the girl halted, he continued to move forward. The seal was taking uneven, heavy, and shallow breaths. It was weak, and most of the blood its heart once pumped was spilled onto the sand, and dying it red. He had only caught a seal one other time, so he didn't know what to do fully. He bounded forward to bite from the back. After a struggle to get through the blubber, blood poured heavily into his mouth, telling him he had succeeded in puncturing the main vein in its neck. This moment gave the woman a great opportunity to jump in.

sry she's a dick feel free to do what what you want *wink-grin*

eyjolfur had no qualms with letting the male do all the work -- he drew upon the labored seal like a curse, his fangs sharp and serrate. the crone hung back for a moment -- specifically, until the seal was sufficiently incapacitated. it was then that her truly villainous form surfaced -- while he was distracted by the seal, eyjolfur did the unthinkable -- she issued a small barrage of sharp biting attacks to his haunches and ankles. these attacks were directed to blindside him and hopefully send him scampering away from what she now considered her meal. trottel she thought inwardly with a silenced cackle, delighted to take advantage of this seemingly very hospitable fellow. if he spun around to face her she would find herself ready for a spar -- but if he left, she would find herself gorging on the still warm flesh of the freshly slain seal.

The man felt a sharp pain. He turned to see the girl, who he just killed dinner for, attacking him. His dirty mind quickly thought of a plan, and he scampered off, whining. He moved behind a rock, she couldn't see him, but he could see her. He waited until her body faced him, before even things about running after her.

eyjolfur's feral gelb gaze flashed with unbidden vehemence as she watched the groß wolf spook and jump. the wizened old witch half expected him to turn tooth and fang upon her, but instead he yelped and fled. triumphant, the bitter she-wolf circled the seal, placing herself in a manner so that the seal sat directly between them. with a nasty glower sent in the male's direction she hunkered down, keeping a baleful eye on the male that had disappeared behind the stone.

but the male never reappeared -- with a loud and hearty cackle the savage she-wolf finished her meal and dragged the rest of the hapless seal to her cache.
