All Welcome
Tipsy from clumsiness alone, Pippin wobbled up to the den entrance – a game he quite enjoyed playing to see how quickly Harlyn would snag him back in to the depths of the den.  The sun poked through the clouds above, and the boy could feel a certain warmth to the light – something that was only the first signs of an oncoming spring.

His nose nudged the dirt on the ground just as he plopped his plump rump to the ground. Puppy blue eyes peered out to the lands before him, and he crooned a playful growl, hoping to draw attention to himself – whether Silas or Larkspur would come play, he was uncertain, but dipping his muzzle down even closer to the ground, he began to chew precariously on a small rock.

By the day, his bids for the outside world grew stronger and were now actually backed with honest effort. At first he'd just wander along that way, naturally drawn to the light and the unknown beyond, but after he got his first tiny taste of success, he wanted more and more. Usually he had to keep his trips short (not that it really bothered him since he wore out quickly) or he was shuffled back in because his timing wasn't appropriate for whatever reason.

But today, he noticed his brother immediately missing from his sights as he began to stir from his nap. Larkspur was still quietly snoozing next to him and his opportunity became clear. He picked himself up as silently as he could so not to trip the alarm his sister's noisy mouth would surely be, and inched for the den door with tiny, "sneaky" steps.

Silas exhaled the breath he'd been holding with a big sigh when he was relieved to see his brother in the doorway. He moved over to him to greet him with a sloppy lick and little grunt, then turned his sights towards the world beyond their den home while his nose worked in overdrive to take it all in. Silas had not yet noticed his brother's rock he was chewing since he was preoccupied with the expanse spread before them.

He was joined in what could be considered record time, given clumsy puppy movements and pace, and as Silas planted a sloppy kiss that dribbled over his nose, Pippin elicited a tiny, playful growl, though did not relinquish his rock.

His bright eyes studied his brother, his jaws drifting from his prize to nibble at the nearest limb of his brother, hoping to gain his attention before his tiny figure slumped closer to the ground. Stretching out in pure puppy bliss, the boy’s rounded form seemed to pool across the den floor in a pudgy mass of milk fat and fur. His rump gave a tiny wiggle then, a paw lifting to tap the ground in invitation for play.

He's pretty slow to notice his brother's rock at all. By the time he does and well before earnest curiosity could hone his focus, his attentions are already shifting rapidly onto the next thing that catches his eye. This time, it's his brother and then the invitation to play he extends after nibbling at his leg, just when Silas was about to mouth him back.

Instead, Silas grunted first to announce his interest in such a thing and began to gather his whole self up with matching butt wiggles. Next, he reared up as mightily as his growing puppy-pudge would allow before plowing it all awkwardly into his sibling, head on and lacking any and all grace.

Silas, keen on play, puffed himself up. The paler tawny boy would attempt to mimic this action, though given he was only a runt, the effect was not quite as impressive (as any pudgy puppy could be). His own tiny jaws were gaping, about to bound forward and gum at his brothers ears when Silas reared back – what was this?!

Before Pippin could consider knocking his brother over while he was on two paws (not that he could even move that fast), Silas was upon him with a heavy thud, and effectively pushing Pippin back and causing his to tumble over.

He squirmed on his back, eliciting a tiny bark as one paw lifted to try to swat his brother away, though his tail swayed along the den entrance floor contently. Rolling over, Pippin’s jaws would work towards Silas’ nose, his own rump wriggling like a cat.

His brother tumbled because of him and he wasn't far behind with his own stumbles, not able to right himself well enough to stop from pouring onto his sibling a little, who retaliated with a swat soon after. Silas backed off once he had his paws beneath him properly again, jaws open and growling softly as he grunted along. He wasn't at a good vantage point to dodge his brother's mouth coming for his nose, though, so he stood as firm as his growing body would allow and tried to lick him back as awkwardly as he could.

It may not be enough to deter him completely, but he'd do what he could until he realized he could just remove the target completely. He planted his rump down in a quick sit and pointed his nose straight upward with a smug yip as if to say there, try eating my nostrils now.

Silas, whose tongue found Pippin's own mouth as he made to gnaw at his littermate's nostrils, was quick to remedy the situation the tiny runt had placed him in. One moment, the pale golden boy was victoriously chomping at his brother's muzzle, and the next, the boy had swung it up, smug written all over his face.

Pippin, not expecting this shift, stumble forward clumsily for a moment before righting himself. One ear flickered forward as he considered this tactic -- did he truly care if it was a nose he was gumming?

Absolutely not.

Instead, the boy bowed himself down, rump wriggling in the air before he made to bounce forward, an attempt to collide his smaller body in to his brothers and knock him over as a tiny, playful growl slipped past his lips.

i've let this get dated bc slowshit |: so i'm gonna tidy it up since puppies grow so fast and alflsdkf
The brothers collided and Silas chimes in shortly after impact with his own growls and grunts. In the meantime, he's reaching, clambering, and mouthing at anything within reach -- and surely, having the same treatment returned in equal measure. Their exchange bends in one favor, then the other in the next breath as their rule-lacking play progresses merrily.

All this back and forth has him panting.. and working up an appetite soon after. When it begins to wind down, presumably from tiring puppies, he offers Pippin one more poke of his snout before heading off to harass the nearest parent for a meal.
