All Welcome

She had searched for Eli. For Smoke. She'd searched for Snacha, too. Each time, she's come up empty handed. For the two of Seageda blood, and their oath to their Heda, had been the most surprising. Their loyalty waned. The corruption had gotten to them. It is the only thing Thuringwethil could think to be true. For generations, her wolves had followed their Heda but what had made her different? Her age? The youngest to win the conclave, even by a stroke of luck, but luck that happened nonetheless and the spirit was never wrong. Her body would have faded away if she couldn't house it, if she weren't worthy, and yet they questioned her.

Warbone, however, didn't have the same notion. He'd followed her for a reason unknown, a bond that spoke between two wolves and their survival. He saw the god in her.

Or so she thought.

Now, he's gone.

The warrior's scent is gone from Sleeping Dragon and the one that often leads to the hollows have waned. Had he misunderstood her words in the heat of the moment? Hot headed and ambitious, his strength not in question, the disappearance is on his own free will. Abandonment, again. Seageda had never faced such betrayal as Drageda had seen and her heart aches in the face of failure. Where the commander's empire is to be rebuilt, it has shown little. Gavriel and Seregrýn, even Vercingetorix, had shown their loyalty but could she even trust them? With an unsettled rattle in her chest, and the night sky cloaking her in the shadows, she meanders quietly through the hollows for answers, for purpose, in hopes to find she's done the right thing after all.

Semet was close to Drageda. Not near close enough to draw attention to the new wolves that Heda had gathered to follow her but close enough that their scent drifted on the soft breeze that carried through the hollows. He had stuck to the northern reaches, exploring and attempting to gain knowledge that would be useful to his commander. It was part of why he had yet to seek her out though he had told her guard that he would seek her out with the ever elusive soon. There was little doubt that Heda knew he was in these Wilds but he took the fact that she did not try to seek him out as confirmation that she understood his desire. He had established himself as her best Rauna in Seageda and that was not without cause or reason; besides he spent much time outside of the borders. That was his role, it was how he'd always operated: in isolation.

Though he had traversed to the Permafrost Hollows to investigate an Elk scent trail his steps froze and charcoal head rose to sniff at the wind. The scent was unrecognizable even laced with the foreign scents as it was. Heda. The scent trail of elk was left abandoned in favor of the commander whom he supposed he might as well make contact with while they were in the same territory. The stalwart Rauna picked up the Commander's scent trail and soon enough his fiery red gaze fell upon her familiar form on the distance. For her, Semet broke his silence offer her a “Heda,” accompanied by the lower of his body to the ground in submission to her.

The wind blows away from her, and she doesn't mind. She knows her vulnerability but she keeps her eyes peeled and the rest of her senses in tact so when a foreign wolf calls her title, it does not surprise her. She turns and looks upon the cinnamon colored wolf and watches him for a moment, regarding his posture and familiarity. He no longer holds the scents of wolves she held dear, of wolves she belonged to, but the recognition in his face and individual scent is not unknown to her. She hardens her gaze and squares her shoulders, and in that moment she gives up search for a warrior she'd thought would benefit them in the long run.

Each loss she's faced since the start of Drageda has not gone unnoticed and she was sure it would happen again. These Teekon wolves do no know loyalty like her own and seeing Semet before her settles some of her worry. Gavriel spoke of loyalties that still waited and the comfort she feels, even if she doesn't show it, is enough to take a step forward. "Semet," she says then with a short wave of her tail that ends in an arch. His loyalty to Sleeping Dragon might not be there, but Seageda renewed wouldn't go unnoticed. Assuming that is why he stands here, before her. "Did you follow Gavriel?"
