All Welcome
Who wants to hang out with an irritable Thuringwethil? 8) — Hunt Roll Result Failure

It came upon her that morning. An irritable feeling in the pit of her stomach that something was wrong. She thought, if given the chance, she’d shake off the strange feeling after a few hours. She loped down to the borders and left her scent in places that had waned since she’d been there last but it isn’t enough to distract her. It only bubbled and occasionally she’d feel tension in her shoulders, and the need to rip something with her teeth.

She makes an attempt to move up the mountain and search out something to eat, but she knows it is likely to result in nothing. Her stomach growls in protest, a growl loud enough to comes out of her mouth in an angry snarl. The sight of a rat, however, catches her attention and she moves after it without really planning her steps, stumbling forward and losing the trail as the rat disappears between a cranny of stone she can’t fit between. One angry paw digs at the stone, with no success, and she doesn’t even notice the creature getting away even further.

Snarling to herself, Thuringwethil backs up. Perhaps if she were in Seageda and had the resources she was meant to have, she’d know what’s happening, but for now, she remains oblivious to her own frustration that has no positive outlet. Disappointed with her attempt hunt, she turns and moves further into the depths of the mountain, searching for something to distract her from her restless paws.

It seemed she had been less that sucessful in her hunt for food. Somehow, she had managed to undermine how badly the locuts affect had been, and how scarce a simple hare was. Though the days seemed to wane longer and her stomach grew hungrier, she ddi not give up in her attempt to help feed the pack. She even tried fishing, against her fear of water. However, somehow the whole oredal pushed her to try harder. It was unlike her days in Trigeda, and she was thankful for that. Although, it had turned her sour. She had never had much patience for others, nor found that it was her priority to put them above herself, but in light of the disater that mindset came on far too often. It was not just for her she was willing to steal and kill for but her pack. It was an odd thing for the selfish girl, but she did not care to notice, nor did she notice many emotions about herself or others.

So, when she found Heda at the base of the mountian, she did not take into account her aggitated body language. Instead, Rebekka approached the Commander, dipping her head to show submission as instinct had become. "Heda," She knew that the Heda had a name, but it was informal to call her Thuringwethil, or at least that's what she believed. "There is nothing to eat," She points out, mostly due to the fact that she had no experiance with small talk and had nothing else to say. Rebekka was not good at registering emotions, and frankly did not care for it's insufficency. She had better things to do.

SORRY. struggling to get caught up hahaha. wanna roll for the rat?

On her way back up the mountain, Thuringwethil finds Rebekka approaching her and the best thing to do would divert her direction and go her own way. Her agitation l, if she'd been home in Seageda, would have properly been addressed instead of blamed on the hunger wracking her body. It is easy to place such blame when she can't remember the last time she'd eaten a real meal. Getting by so far on the occasional rodent isn't going to last for any of them. Their hierarchy is full of hungry mouths and Gyda's selfishness for children might very well put them in further danger.

The thought surprises her but she blinks a few times as if it might shake it away but her anger remains a low boil in the back of her mind.

"Ai get in," she says but struggles to keep her voice even and clear of it irritability, as if the news is obvious. "Oso yuj," she adds, to cover up her tone.

Thuringwethil closes her eyes and tries to focus on something else other than the rumble in her stomach, the strange feeling left in her body that only mother nature places. If she knew where her body is headed, she might have sought out someone that knew herbs, but for now she shakes her head and tries to ease the tension between her shoulders with little success. Just then, however, a scurrying caught her attention as a rat runs by them several yards away and she quickly jerks to attention.

The stoic girl did not take high notice of Hedas ill emotions, but knew that if the Commander was angry, it was not at her. Rebekka has only terrorized one wolf, and it had not been from Drageda, so she was in the clear. Instead, she answers the Commander with sheer honesty, and innocent confusion. "Are we?" Rebekka was not sure. There was no fault in admitting they were not strong, it would be foolish to claim they were still mighty. The hunger had taken them all, leaving no wolf as an exception.

"We seem rather weak in body.. and perhaps in mind," It was a fact that Rebekka only tended to speak the truth, unrelenting to how rude it might have been. But her comment was not directed to Heda herself, but them as a whole. They turned to savegery as a way of eating, running their mouths dry trying to catch a simple mouse they would never have glanced at before. Yes, they were weak. And Rebekka was not afraid to admit that she was too.

The girl's eyes traveled as the mouse scurried across the barren floor, her body moving with it. She sprung, catching the mouse under her paw, and then into her mouth. It screamed in protest, and a snap of her jaw sealed it's fate. She lay the rodent infront of the Alpha, it was rightfully her's. "Or maybe we're just unlucky," She had often thought what hand Fate had played in their demise.

Rebekka's reply sets her body on fire and not in a way she'd been expecting. Her fur bristles at the idea one of Heda's followers would call their own weak when they've made it so far. Before the famine, before the fall, before she became commander—they've always been resilient. Their faith and loyalty through the years has proven their successes and this famine would be no different. Those that fall during these times are hardly the wolves she cares to bring with her to the other side of their wait and want. Thuringwethil growls at the notion Rebekka might fall in with the weak but if it takes her foolishness, then Heda would have one less thing to worry about.

"Yu wich in osir kwelen?" Thuringwethil asks, narrowing her slate eyes at the girl and closing her distance between the two. A familiar face, one of her own, she may be, but the weakness is not within Drageda. Not one of her wolves have fallen to the hunger that surrounds them and even Gyda prospers every day, against the odds. "Mebi en's yu." Her eyes linger on the strange colored girl a little longer, hardening her gaze to see through whatever mess she's come up with.

The rat Rebekka has killed lays at her feet, then, and she glances down at the offer though her frustration has yet to subside. Instead, she'd guess it has only increased. Without a word, she dips her head and picks it, devouring nearly everything the kill has to offer in two bites and departs. Maybe she'll regret accepting Rebekka into Drageda and see her for who she really is: a traitor.

Sorry for the short thread! See my message on Slack, but we should have another soon. <3 Archive or reply once more.
