All Welcome
Hedda's progress through the barren valley was slow - nausea and frequent coughing spells were her faithful companions, there would be days, when she couldn't make a single mile without stopping and sleeping. Yet - despite the odds - the driving force of her actions was still strong and kept her going. For how long - time would show.

Today she had reached yet another lake and, though looking in the reflection and talking to her master was not among her priorities, she was thirsty. So, once she was foot deep in the water, she collapsed and with her body half immersed in the cold water, she began to drink greedily.

Wanderlust had gripped her again, and the female foundherself on the other side of the mountain range. She had never been here before, but while in the foothills hadseen a wide flatland stretching in front of her. She had meant only to explore Little Goat mountain, but had ended up here. She might as well make use of the time she had here. She had 'feasted' on a hare while home, and was not yet hungry.

It was then she noticed the female stagger and collapse into the lake, drinking greedily. Minna approached hurriedly, this one looked ill. She trotted to a halt a few meters from the female, chuffing in greeting.
Hi! Could be possibly forward date this? :)

When Hedda had had her fill, she simply lied there, breathing heavily and immersing her muzzle in the water now and then, blowing bubbles and feeling the uncomfortable pressure against her airways. They said that drowning was an easy death and briefly she wondered, if she could just leave her last task unfinished and just go. She was tired after all. Very tired... she closed her eyes.

The face of her master attacking her, made her inhale with a start and get to her feet. She spluttered the water and coughed for a while and then turned to get out. She stopped though, because there was someone standing already. Hedda bared her teeth and growled at it, asking it to get out of the way.

Her growl and appearence unerved the Zeta, and she took a hesitant step back. Her eyes flickered with uncertainty, but she gazed at the wolf anyway. Thing, and sickly looking, however in possetion of a very scary frame. Mina hesitated, but remained where she stood. She could not simply leave this creature here. She was probably just anti-social, and maybe a few kind words would cheer her up.
"Hello, I'm Minna. I'm new to these lands. Do you know the name of them?"

An inoccent enough question, but she wondered how it would be recieved. The female wouldn't attack her, would she?

Cheerful words just annoyed Hedda further. Small-talk - even worse. Set her on edge. Therefore she snarled at the she-wolf, putting in as much venom as she could: "Bugger off!" With that thought made known, she chose a path around the offending creature and once ashore, sat a little distance away from the she-wolf and began to lick her wet paws and chest, now and then shooting a side glance to see, if the other was still present. Had Hedda been younger and stronger, she wouldn't have wasted so much words, she would have attacked.

Minna frowned. She was certainly rude. But this did not make her run, this instead made her push the female further. She didn't know why, exactly, but the female's words and actions made her angry. Would it hurt to show a fellow wolf a bit of kindness, or at least help somehow? Minna ignored the female and turned back to the lake. It was huge- waves crashed into the bank, and if she peered carefully she could make out the opposite shore. She glanced back at the female. She seemed a tad the violent sort, and Minna wondered if it were wise to stick around much longer. So she heeded the females warning, and loped away by the side of the lake.
