small puppy thread for mom, dad, siblings and/or anyone who would realistically be allowed in the den! c:
Life for the blind and deaf Rian remained unexciting once the shock of being born into the strange world he had yet to truly understand with any level of depth had worn off. His days were filled with little other than eating, returning the errant kicks of his siblings and sleeping. He did a lot of that — sleeping. His dreams were more exciting than his waking world. Rian had been sleeping when a gurgle rumbled through his belly. At first, he awoke, a wide yawn leaving his tiny lips and shuffled closer to the softness of his mother's belly, burying his face into it for a moment. The gurgle happened again and he snuffled quite uselessly around — drat his nose was as blind as his eyes! — before he found a teat and began to suckle. Except the warm and sweet mother's milk didn't soothe the grumble. His stomach did it again and to the great misfortune of his parent(s) he broke wind. The relief was immediate and Rian let out a small squeak that was meant to portray his measure of relief before he crawled away from his food source, understanding that he hadn't been hungry at the moment, after all. Where the little king was going, he didn't know, only that he was crawling somewhere and that was the most exciting thing to happen to him yet.

Hello!
Dublin had been sleeping, but was woken up by the small squeak of his brother, Rian. He was curious, so, as much as he could explore, he did. But with only his senses of touch and taste working, he couldn't really tell much. He bumped into Rian, let out a squeal, and got back up, not knowing what happened to the other pup. He tried using his nose, as he had felt his mother do once, and was confused. What was the point? It appeared to Dublin that sniffing didn't make a difference to what he smelled. He continued walking around, occasionally bumping into his siblings. Once, he got too far away from his mother, and squeaked. His fur wasn't warm enough to keep him that warm. He wandered back to where his mother and siblings were.Inserts little Szabala in... >:D
These new sensations and feelings... they were all quite invigorating and exciting! But there were also very tiring and boring at times. Often, she would fall asleep hoping to awaken back in the warmth and traquility of her mother's belly, but she did not know that that was a place of the past. A "land" she would never be able to travel back to again. Well, except for her dreams. Those were nice dreams. She would sleep well whenever those thoughts popped into her tiny head and hope filled her chest that maybe when she woke everything would go back to normal. Unfourtunately for her, nothing was normal for her in the waking world and the pup would get quite riled up with frustration at times. She would let out a squeal of protest or nip at her mom and siblings with her toothess mouth. That was all she could do for now.
Suddenly, the absence of both of her brothers upset her. Eimear was nowhere to be found at the moment so the small female turned herself around. Without any fine motor skills, she most probably looked like a seal hobbling it's way back to the ocean -- or in her case over to her brothers. She caught up to them just as Dublin turned to leave and felt Rian pressed against her side. Her thin coat offered no warmth, so she was glad he was there to share heat with. In front of her, the air was getting significantly colder. Creepy!
Edit: pokes @Dublin

hi siblings~ <3
Ignorant to the chaos his separation from the fleet his siblings had caused — at least for two of them — he kept army crawling, sloth-like towards ...well Rian himself wasn't so sure. As it happened, he was making something of a beeline for one of his mother's paws. While he thought he was far away from his squirming siblings the truth was: he was just out of reach of bumping into one of their butts. A swing of his own little butt would be enough to touch one of them Rian never managed it and thus kept up the wrong assumption that he'd broken away and was flying solo, out of reach of everything that had once surrounded him. Their absence left a chill in his bones, seeping through his wispy fur, his infant body unable to regulate his own body temperature but he felt the lingering waves of his mother's own body heat, though it was not as engulfing as he would have liked. Nevertheless, the little king soldiered on until he didn't. He paused, utterly perplexed when he accidentally headbutted something ...though whether it was a sibling butt or one of Kaskara's paws he had no way of knowing. Utterly perplexed, he stopped, muscles pulling taunt beneath his skin as he tried to, futility, discern who and what he'd bumped into.

Dublin was surprised. It was cold. He was cold. Dublin wondered where the warm ones were. He toddled around, trying to find something. What was that? He bumped into something(one of his siblings), and squeaked. He couldn't hear himself, nor could he see what had happened. Was something wrong? He bumped into whatever it was again. Was it the same thing, or something different? This world was much more confusing than the previous one had been. Dublin stopped wandering. His curiousity was filled with confusion.
sorry this is waaaay late guys

Szabala wined, confused by her surroundings. Everything around her had vanished, including her mother. She shimmied around, frightened that she had somehow put herself very far from where her comfort was. However, in reality she was only about a few inches from her mother's belly, and even closer to her two brothers. She may even be possibly howling into one of their deaf ears. She army crawled in a random direction, but was lucky enough to find the soft, tangled fur of her mother once again. If she could, she would have done a little victory dance, but all she could do at the moment was barely flap her little tail around. She hunted around through the tangled locks for a few minutes, searchng tirelessly for a teat. She had found that hunger came to her very often, and her daily scedule had turned into eat, sleep, eat, sleep and so on. It was fine for her, and since she knew no better, she is set on the assumption that it would go on like this for the rest of her life. Little did she know, there were big changes ahead of her that at the moment, wouldn't seem possible to the tiny princess. She eventually found what she was looking for and set to work on letting the warm milk slide down her throat. As she continued to suckle, she began the grow drowsy and knew she would soon slip into the land of darkness.

He had no idea to know what he'd head butted and thus began to squirm his way back, a rumble of hunger in his belly pushing him to attempt to blindly, in all sense of the word, feel his way back to his feeding place. He had no sense of space or time or how far he'd crawled only that he stepped on something — perhaps a tail or a harmless twig (it was hard to tell) — and stumbled as much as a blind and crawling puppy could stumble, letting out a small wail. He was hungry and he had yet to find a teat. His wails did not cease though he continued to crawl towards what he (and no doubt his parents) could only hope was Kaskara's stomach, nudging his face against one of his siblings before he found the overbearing warmth of his mother's stomach fur. He gummed uselessly at tufts of fur before he sneezed on Kaskara and pushed his face against her side, fumbling for a few moments to latch onto a teat. Yet when he did he began to suckle, the satisfaction instantaneous and his wails ceased as he was otherwise occupied.
