@Addison & @Harrison for starters :p

grayson had never met a soul in his entire life who disliked him. he was, after all, among the highest tier of all wolves ever. his whole family was. to not like him was simply unheard of. he was a man of great looks, intelligence, and a stunning personality to boot. he was the whole package. it was absolutely no surprise that women practically flocked to him and his brothers. as they should, too, each of the brothers had an absurd amount to offer.

and so once they'd been old enough, practiced enough, grayson took to the teekon wilds with some of his siblings and closest friends. it was here that they'd establish themselves. they'd make a name (larger name) for themselves, sow their oats, extend the family name to even more greatness. grayson was confident that all of this would be simple, especially with his father's ideals pressed into his skull.

he would make like his bitch, make it bend over before him. it was obey his every whim. he deserved it, earned it-- no one could disagree, either. he was so perfect. scoff.

he led his siblings and friends into the territory, confident that this was the best starting place for their search. perhaps he'd even settle here. perhaps this was perfect enough for grayson aaron odolf, firstborn, prized child.

but they'd travelled enough, and so grayson called to his siblings and led them aside, settling into the snow. his pale gaze pressed to both of him, ears cupped forwards. "what're we thinking, harrison?" he asked, directed first towards his brother, but his gaze would move to his sister soon, "i say we set this as our camp. we can all take off and explore, but use this as a base. that way we can all return back here with recruits or maybe news of different territories-- reconvene and figure out where to go from there." that was his game plan. he was accepting constructive criticism, but he was pretty set with this idea.

it is strange to follow the orders of grayson after being under aaron's command for so long. strange enough to still give her pause, when he makes and executes plans. but what is she to do otherwise? until she has a man, serving grayson and his quest to claim a new home for their family is her utmost priority. she will follow his every word, and do so silently, as every good girl should. it is her duty. a simple creed by which to live, and it has not steered her wrong yet.

she waits for harrison's input before she will give her agreement with a quiet, measured nod. her brothers' opinions on matters such as this are far more valuable than her own. addison knows her place. she knows it well. anything less would have disappointed aaron, and she would rather bleed herself out than let down her blessed papa.

it is a quiet place, a lovely place. the babbling of the stream harmonizes with the wind through the trees. a perfect land in which to raise a family. she thinks her brothers would agree.

the pale agouti fellow trailed behind his darker brother with a swishing tail and complete expression of apathy. there wasn't much around there that was pulling his attention, but he supposed that it was important that he stuck around to help grayson locate their next intended claim. every so often as they would move across the terrain, he would purposefully bump against addison and then turn to face her with a sharp glint in his eye. harrison never seemed to antagonize her beyond this point, but he had made a relatively fun little game out of the whole ordeal so that he had a way to pass the time.

when the trio pulled up to a trickling creek that wistfully cut through the terrain as it passed, it seemed that grayson had taken a liking to it. harrison glanced around them with a thoughtful frown, ears swiveling atop his head as he allowed the question to hang in the air far far too long. just when he thought grayson might get irritated with him for not responding, the charmer shrugged his shoulders and then exhaled sharply.

“i dunno, gray... you sure you don't want a forest or something?” he mused, taking a second glance around the territory. there was mischief in his gaze that suggested he might not really care where they landed, but he did like to push his brother's buttons. “i mean this is cute and all, but is this where you want your kids growing up? falling in the creek? turning into squids?” harrison prattled on for a while before he turned to face his darker brother with a crooked smirk that stretched the left half of his face.

he gave his brother a look. a look that said come on now. this is why grayson was leading this group and not harrison. it was kinda funny though-- squid kids. grayson snorted, kinda amused, anyway. "there's a forest on the south and southeast end-- i already checked it out," he returned with a wave of his tail, "but we can keep scouting anyway, maybe somewhere else'll come up." the plan seemed easy enough, simple enough. grayson was very convinced that this would not be hard.

"we'll have to fill in dawson, he's checking out the area," he added, ears cupping forwards. and then he glanced to addison, finally, wondering what-- if anything-- she'd have to say about it. a woman's perspective would be nice now-- he didn't want to have to hear the whole lot of them complaining about where they chose to settle. she had that insight.

harrison she likes considerably less than her other siblings. he is a clown, a fool. of course, she cannot let this emotion slip through--there must be no cracks in her dutiful facade. she bears his taunts with long-fused patience and his jests with an impassive face, and stands quietly while the two men parry with words, attempting to decide. then she feels grayson's blue gaze land on her, and she is quiet for a short moment, gathering up her thoughts.

i see no fault in the place, addison says quietly, her posture low and her stare averted. like the most adept of thespians, she knows her role. it is secluded enough to protect the family from enemies, but not so much to cut us off entirely. the creek provides fresh water and perhaps good fishing. plenty of resources to provide for pups, in the spring.

she nods once before falling silent, having said her peace. she is under no impression that her brothers will take anything she has to say seriously, but, thus invited, she felt obligated to say something. very often it was a case of 'damned if you do, damned if you don't.' addison very well could have suffered punishment for not using her tongue when asked for it.

instead, she looks toward the creek, waiting for the conversation to continue without her.

at least the snort was something, even though it seemed like grayson was only doing it to placate him. oh well, he knew he could win some and he knew that he would lose some. he didn't think gray had the best sense of humor anyway; it needed some work. when his darker sibling went on to mention that dawson was up ahead and scouting, harrison turned his attention beyond their stopping point and searched the stalwart trees in the distance. what it sounded like was that grayson would humor the request to keep searching, but he had a good feeling about the creek.

addison – of course – chimed in with her opinion of the place. harrison met her with a near-mocking smirk as she spoke and then swung his head around to face grayson. “don't you want to see if we have bad neighbors? hell, it's your call no matter what but i'd say we've got a lot of land in front of us and it's worth a look, huh?” he offered, completely disregarding what his sister might have rationally offered. she didn't know what she was talking about anyway. she was just a girl, after all. it was hard for women to see the fault in a place that was so pretty, he was sure. they had to have been mesmerized by all the things nature had provided for them.

blegh...

harrison released an audible sigh and then fixed his brother with a swift smile. with a single step back and an overly dramatic bow, he took a spot just slightly behind addison. “after you, of course.” then, he proceeded to stare smugly at their surroundings as though he were waiting for someone to take it upon themselves to move forward.

grayson had a great sense of humor. he was full of snide comments, sarcastic ruses, and crude jokes. but now was not the time for it-- grayson and harrison got along great any other day, but gray knew better than to mix business and personal matters. this was strictly business. his tail swished as addison commented, and then his ears flicked as harrison spoke again. did he not hear? dawson was checking it out.

"it's a good camp for now," he reiterated, nodding once to show that yes i heard you and yes i'm listening to you, "the longer we're here the more we'll find-- maybe we'll find somewhere way better than this." or maybe not. grayson knew prime real estate when he saw it. he didn't comment to addison, but he had given her a nod to show he had paid her attention.

and then harrison offered a mocking play-bow with a sweeping gesture, and grayson fell from his serious demeanor and gave a quick play-bow in return, jumping forwards to snap at his brother, but not aiming to actually touch him. "gladly," he returned, eyeing his brother before beginning off, expecting both of them to follow after him.

she is so tired of harrison and his perpetually jocular attitude. perhaps grayson is too, but this supposition is dashed when the other brother begins to engage in play. what did they say--boys will be boys? she sometimes wonders if her brothers will ever be men, in her eyes. it is a sentiment she will not ever dare to admit. . .but she does wonder.

addison begins to stride slowly along, keeping her gaze down and uncomfortably aware of harrison's presence nearby. she wishes she could show the same confidence with her littermates that she does with the other women. alas, it will never be. she was born with a cunt, blessed with womanly virtues. cursed to fall behind the wolves with cocks until she dies.

in the odolf world, cocks and cunts determine everything. it will never change.

as much as harrison could grind on his siblings' nerves, it only taught him that he could get a reaction out of them if he was pushy enough. the pale snake was shameless; he had no issue with arguing against his brother's wishes and rational thoughts, and he certainly did not mind poking and prodding at addison when she was required to be calm under pressure. sometimes it was just good to see that he could still rile them up, even if it was held under the surface by a tight lid. harrison knew – he knew his siblings better than they thought he did, but he never wanted to give that away.

grayson playfully snapped toward him and the pale snake wagged his tail excitedly, quirking a single brow upward and baring his teeth in a wide grin. then, their darker sibling moved further into the territory and harrison was left to continue toying with their sister. he moved to walk along side her and swung his body toward her softly, aiming to bump his shoulder against her own.

easy wrap up? :p

and so they were out of things to discuss-- or, more like, harrison wasn't taking it seriously and addison's contributions were shoved under the carpet. that's how it always was-- who would expect anything different?

grayson returned a few of the playful moves and then broke free from his siblings to scout further ahead. regardless of what was going on outwardly, grayson had everything mapped out in his head. he was the eldest son, after all, and so all of his father's best qualities were passed on to him. dawson and harrison got the leftover good qualities, maybe, but grayson would always be the most apt wolf of the group.

and so, they moved on. nothing decided on, and yet with every decision already made for them.
