All Welcome
Set a day or two after this thread to accomodate behind-the-scenes travel, kek.

Worming his way along the coast was something of a specialty of his, but when Firefly's path was cut away from him by the emergence of pack limits, he veered inland, only to find that the forest he wished to shelter in was also inundated with scents; he knew the dangers of the season and carefully, stealthily, stole through the night. It was a challenge to stay on the path without doing something foolish. He thought himself to be level-headed but in his current frame of mind, essentially as a bachelor on the eve of becoming something tethered, he was full of antagonistic energy.

A day or so of roaming brought him back to the sea — or he thought as much, as the scents rose around him with familiar abundance. The plains became his whole world for a few hours as he navigated them, coming to a stop at the edge of the world yet again — and pacing there, frustrated, until he felt the need to cant his head back and howl; he was certain that Rusalka would not hear him (not that he cared if anyone did), but a part of him wished that Willowstrife and Deadnettle could hear his protests now. This life they had saved in him was one thing — but he was starting to think that leaving their good graces had been a mistake.

ooc; hope you don't mind meee. set after she just got into rusalka

so far, none had approached her. they were content to leave her be, or perhaps they were unnerved by her. Huntington seemed to understand that they seemed to think she would be better suited to living in a swamp. alone. with no company and nowhere near their precious selves. she could rattle bones anywhere, so why not Rusalka? it was not like she had to live in a marsh like a witch the others thought her to be.

be that as it may, she had wandered away from the camp and the territory. the man may not think Rusalka heard him, but she certainly did. whether or not she considered herself part of the community... well, she was going to find out. his more prominent pack scent made her creep further toward the other. and though she was not out today to even 'bond' with her packmates, Huntington had found him nonetheless. she would come upon the stranger, calling to the sky itself.

her head tilted but she made no move to close the distance. the woman would remain where she was a few paces away. Huntington had no idea this was merely a former alpha of Rusalka. if she had, she would have found the rank shuffles ironic and even amazingly cruel. of course, she'd find it amusing above all the other emotions that would threaten to break her less than porcelain mask.
