ooc; please let @Azmoday post first! =D

she lets the road be her guide, and him her guiding light. there was nothing else but the fall of their homeland, where they had been born and raised. found each other in. Eurydice tried not to look back, to not think of her sister and her family that had fled long ago. she didn't know why she waited to go. maybe it was Azmoday. she couldn't let him be swallowed up alone. it was she who made the decision to leave but it didn't mean she couldn't take a piece of the place with her.

they may not know where they were, but this place held some promise. she tried to be confident but the only reason she hadn't curled up in a ball and wept was that he was near. she felt her coat brush against his as the two stepped, wondering where the next adventure came from. finally, the couple found life. or the scent of life. leaving Azmoday's side briefly to scout ahead, Eurydice would approach the border. she'd seen packs before. had been part of them her whole life. red eyes turned to him, meeting his mismatched ones.

"this one?" she said to him, knowing both of them craved a community. a fresh start. for both of them. for each other. though those words hadn't been said yet. still, there was no mistaking the adoration she held for the man.

They had been running from desolation. Once the distance grew between it and them, he grew comfortable traveling. He was careful to never leave her behind. Azmoday knew nothing of the possible whereabouts of his extensive family. He had to carry on as if they were dead and gone for there was nothing to look back to. In the spirit of looking ahead, they followed whatever path may lead them to what they were looking for: community.

Eury would pick up her pace to scout ahead. Azmoday would linger not far behind as he checked the landscape for obvious dangers. There were none. Those ruby eyes would look at him. He fell prey to the loveliness of her stare and it caused a brief moment of silence so he could let the image of her sink in. "It's worth a shot." He answered finally. His sensitive nose picked up the fresher scents nearby. At the very least they could gather information about where they have traveled to. Azmoday would pad to her side and attempt to brush against her plush pelt with his side. "Do the honors?" He offered her to make a summons or let the community find them instead.

he was always going to be a constant in her life. she didn't mind this at all. Azmoday had chosen to leave with her, chosen to go on this journey to find a new place. he could easily just say 'no' and remain with his family but like her... he wanted a fresh start. Eurydice wasn't the most social of beasts, and he knew this from her past stumbles and doubt, but he asked her to call for the leaders here. he could easily do it himself - he had more presence - but he trusted her.

the albino's heart swelled with pride and affection as she turned away from his gaze. regretfully that is; she'd stare into his depths forever if she could. hesitating at first, she'd lift her head to call for anyone that could accept them (@Quixote or @Towhee maybe?) and would wait. Eurydice wondered if they'd take a useless wolf like her - Azmoday knew how to hunt, patrol and contribute. she was still learning from him. the only one she'd trust to help her on her own personal journey.

but what if this place didn't accept them? what would they do then?

It was probably a good thing that given recent events that Quixote was the one closest and able to answer the call.  It didn't even take him long to arrive on the scene -- he'd been on a patrol and so wasn't too far off to start.

In fact it was two wolves there waiting for him.  Huh.  The woman had been the one to call, he was pretty sure.  Both were fairly light in coloration (mostly).  Siblings?  From a distance and quick cursory examination he wasn't sure.  The guy had a black stripe which made Quixote immediately think of the Blackthorns but the rest of his pattern seemed not so familiar -- so maybe not siblings.  Sure, maybe there were some oddball Blackthorns out there, but they were much more likely to be shades of grey and brown than white, from his limited experience.

Whatever, a normal line of questioning should bring answers to it.  He came to a stop at a comfortable distance.  He was a little more on edge than usual, thanks Towhee and Poe, which made him act a bit more dominant than usual.  But for Quixote, who normally operated in ultra casual mode, it probably just made him more properly posed for an alpha at the borders.  Go figure.  This time of year was stupid.  You're at the Redhawks.  I am Quixote.  You are...?  He looked between them.

Azmoday attempted to bump against her side gently. It was a gesture of encouragement and praise as she called for anyone to greet them. He was content to spend the time it would take for anyone to arrive with her. As it seems, their welcome party of one had not been too far off. The darker male approached and Azmoday made sure his posture was relaxed. He wasn't out to offend, after all. "Greetings. I'm Azmoday and this is Eurydice." His head tilted in the she-wolf's direction as he introduced her. "Would you be able to tell us about this land and your pack?" His mismatched ears shifted to attention. What answers would there be to receive?

Eury was never good around new people. so when the man appeared, she felt herself back further away from the border and back to Azmoday's side. her traveling companion was quick to insert himself, showing a flair for socializing that seemed to be escaping her. she'd stare dumbly at the larger man, her mouth slightly open and allowed her friend to do the talking. he'd press against her for support, and she sighed, accepting his touch. as of right now, she had nothing to add. Azmoday had covered everything that they needed to ask this community. she'd wait her turn to speak, eyes on the other being and waiting for his reply.

I r tired, so if this is kind of weird in places, I apologize! XD

So the guy was representing them both?  Shades of Camilla and Phox there, hopefully that wasn't going to be an ongoing thing because it was a little weird -- he personally preferred things to be equal in as many ways as possible even if privately he worshiped the ground Raven walked on.

While he talked, he did his best to make sure his attention shifted evenly between them.  Unless the Azmoday got particularly offended at that -- actually, screw that, he was gonna shift his attention entirely to  Eurydice if for some reason it seemed to annoy him because Quixote was kind of a twit like that.  But hey, we'll see how it goes.  He'd stay pretty much bland and polite for now.  Anyway.  The territory? Well.  It existed and stuff?  It wasn't his choice nor like the best thing ever, he'd begrudgingly accepted the fact they probably weren't gonna move ever.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Uh.  It's Heron Lake Plateau technically.  Unsurprisingly it has a lake that draws in a lot of birds in warmer weather.  And it's a plateau.  There's normal prey too, in case you were concerned. Because screw birds, they were not his favorite prey.  The pack... We've got a lot of family here, both here and over at our sister pack, Firebirds -- majority is pretty much either namesake Redhawks or Blackthorns of some variety.  Can be a crazy bunch.  Understatement of the year, yo.  But some strangers on the borders didn't need to know much more than it seemed rarely dull (fortunately, or unfortunately).

Is there anything more specific you'd be wanting to know?  Because if there was some big ol' dealbreaker there was no point in Qui going through his end of the interview.  They could just stop wasting each other's time and move on.
