For @Hadrian. Other tags for reference only.
Her waning mood was not lost upon @Stigmata, and while the stygian war hound spent his days with his other brood, much to the pale sylph’s growing ire, he offered to care for their shared little ones for the morning, allowing the Option a much-needed break from the confines of the lake and mountains.

The growing trepidation of her current home and situation led the exotic dove to the meadow just aside them—the gentle summer breeze caressing her pelt, though the grey clouds above signified the promise of showers. Green jeweled eyes gazed out to the flatter lands beside the shadowed mountain, and she inhaled sharply, trying to calm her fluttering nerves as she considered how she could possibly move her young to a safer home—or if Diaspora was not as threatening as it seemed to impose upon her—@Mahler’s words and steady presence having finally begun to soothe the postpartum emotions of the new mother.

Time passed, and she knew she should return soon. @Takiyok’s anger was not something she wished to inflict upon her lover, and yet somehow, the woman’s paws remained rooted to the spot—honey and ivory coat a stark contrast to the wild greens and colorful flowers in the meadow.

mindful of the pack that borders the meadow, hadrian sticks to the heartland of the territory. the meadow itself is a bright pop of colorful wildflowers, coupled by an exotic perfume that hangs around the vicinity of the meadow. after half an hour of meandering through the meadow, hadrian begins to doubt this choice: no doubt when he departs it will take some time to rid his pelage of the subtle and exotic floral scent that will cling to it.

soft, silk petals crush beneath his paws as he moves towards the cottonwood trees and the soft bubbling creek he hears nearby and idly mentally mapping the lingering scent of pronghorns that've recently passed through; whatever his misgivings about the territory itself might be he doesn't deny it's a sight for sore eyes — and neither is the pallid woman whom frostbound silver gaze falls upon: a stark contrast to the vivid colors around her.

she's the kind of beautiful that's immediately noted ...and he hesitates, considering altering his course. he's aware that his narcissistic behaviors does not repute him as the friendliest of trajan's children but it seemed like such a waste to not use his diplomatic skills, to keep them sharp. practice made perfect, right? hadrian does not seek to close any more of the distance between them but instead lets out a low chuff to announce his presence to her, if she was not already aware of him.

@Hadrian so sorry for the wait. <3
The chuff does not startle her, but she had not expected another so close. Chiding herself gently, the pale valkyrie allows her gaze to sweep with quick finesse over her sudden company. Draped in a silver, he perhaps would have reminded her of her son, Argent, had he not been so thick. Captioned a king by the intense mane of fur, Ketzia considered the size of him—was he simply large, or was it the illusion from his pelt?

He was studying her, and the woman casts her muzzle lightly to the side, withholding her gentle inquiry as to whether he enjoyed what he saw—even the fatigue that clouded her mind found the snipe dull.

“You’re one of the valley wolves?” Basic conversation was equally as boring—but at least it served a purpose to the sylph for the moment. Her smoky voice broke the silence, her figure remaining still as she awaited his answer, and even more importantly, his intentions.
