The herds split, west and east that came from the north. Rumors of the wind about a famine, but the lioness never experienced it, and only came once the larger prey was coming back. She foresaw the herds coming forth, and noticed coming into her claim, were two kinds. A unison of hooves, but a difference between the two. Uriel thought, she should investigate the two, and for the day being, headed west in the woods.

She went on a prowl, for she wasn't hunting, but careful to not scare what was to be scouted. The sign of a golden wolf would cause them to be wary, and for now, she only wished to scout, not to hunt. Her cache would be filled for another day, with birds and rabbits, and a deer from previous days, she was not worried to fill it. Her body pressured low to the ground, carefully avoiding the branches and slowly pushing her paw forward to the slightest amount of snow there could be. Crunch, crunch, her steps came alongside the surroundment of others. The smell, the noise, where they could be?

Over there, Uriel saw.

Elk, a hint of spring to come. They held high with antlers, but alongside was the one without, their females. A large group of them hung around the sanctions of the west, and seemed different from the ones of the east. The Western Horn... The lioness felt satisfied finding their home, within her own ward.
