Tired from her long days of travel, the discovery of the crag was a welcome sight. Walking further in, she was glad to lay down against a stone wall. Setting down the berries and lavender flower given to her by Mojag, she carefully cradled them between her paws before resting her head.
She was unsure of just how far she planned to go; after all, she would evertually hit something she was unable or unwilling to cross. She just needed to find something that would appeal until the summer months. Then, she could travel once again.
Yawning, she shut her eyes. As far as Waawaashkeshi knew, she was alone for the moment.

Could it truly be her?
After so long spent searching, so many tragedies suffered and obstacles overcome, Nasamiituuq could scarcely believe it. They'd only been girls when they'd been parted; now, months later, grown into women. Grown apart from one another. Would her dear friend still know her?
Did she still know herself?
Nasamiituuq stood in perfect stillness, grief and yearning blooming like warm blood from the center of her chest. She closed her eyes. Could it really be her? Could Nasamiituuq live with herself if she never dared to know?
After a moment she tilted her head back and called out a long, low note into the wind; a mournful song, a hopeful sound. A summons, if her dearest friend was truly there to answer.

In only a fleeting moment, everything changed.
At the sound of an all too familiar call, Waawaashkeshi shot up and sprinted as fast as her legs would allow towards the sound. Her friend, her reason to keep going, her Nasamiituuq.
Spotting the tri-coloured coat she let out a cry of pure joy, nearly launching herself at the other and tackling her to the ground. It was a reaction of pure overwhelming excitement and relief.
Everything was falling back into place; the sun shone down upon them favourably today.

Nasamiituuq! Oh, I thought I would never see you again..She nearly sobbed.
