It had been months since Rosco left his home. There was nothing there for him, but he still felt homesick. He was tired, beaten, and bloody. He had been able to scavenge some meat from a deer carcass, which kept him going for a while, but now his energy was running out. He had come across a pack's boarders, hopefully one that wouldn't attack him on sight.

Rosco drug his feet on the ground, his paws wet from walking in a near by creek. He slowly stopped walking and laid down. All he would need is a bit of rest and he would be on his way, but he completly forgot he was on a pack's boarders. Ignoring his surroundings he peacfully drifted to sleep, and began to snore, enjoying the much needed rest.

Hello!

Happenstance was a temperamental beast. Where one day the fates would draw him into terror, the next they would bring him a great gift. His spirits had been low since his encounter and subsequent fight with Burke, but his meeting with Alastor had raised them beyond what they had been before the fight.

That did not mean that the fight had left his thoughts completely. A few hours after he parted from Alastor, he came upon the borders of his home. And there, laying asleep on the line, was a strange wolf. A small wolf, and no doubt young, mottled with grays and browns. He didn't seem much of a threat, but Aesop was not going to take chances. Not anymore. "Get up, kid," he said, prodding the male with his nose, "this ain't anywhere to take a nap."

Rosco was dreaming about biting into a nice juicy elk rump when he was disturbed. He opened his eyes to find a stranger standing before him. The young male quickly stood and back away from the stranger. "My apologies sir, I was just so tired" he said and hoped this wolf wouldn't harm him for sleeping on the pack's boarders. Well, at least young Rosco thought this wolf lived in this pack, but he wasn't completly sure.

"Is this your pack" he asked curious if the older male did indeed belong to this pack. Why else would he disturb the young boy's sleep, perhaps he was trying to protect him? No, that made no sense, why save a stranger? Rosco shook his head slightly in an attempt to get all the unnecessary thought out of his head, and once he was done clearing his mind, he focused back on the strange male.

He was met with bright eyes: gilded, tired. Realization must have dawned on the younger wolf, as he was quick to get up once he realized his mistake, backing away from Aesop. "Whoa there, calm your tits," he said, aiming for placating but missing by a few feet, "technically you ain't done anything wrong." He shrugged, giving the boy more space in case he decided to jump around again.

"Not mine, no, but I'm one of them. You've found Stavanger Bay. Any reason why you felt the need to take a nap on its borders?" His tone was even, not betraying his nerves nor his irritation. The boy was either stupid, or looking to join. Hoping to find the best in him, Aesop bets on the second one.
