Pura lingered for a full day after the attack. If Fox's vicious treatment of Junior's decapitated body was anything to go by, attempting to get any closer to the Caldera would be unwise. But the place still reeked of disaster and tragedy, and he was drawn to it like a fly to shit.

Junior's head had been stashed. Pura had buried it a little ways off, always within sight. Junior's eye was already starting to sag in its socket, and her brain was cooking inside her skull. It sloshed strangely when she swung from his mouth.

He sat in the tall grass, staring up at his step-father's lofty home. Had Wildfire died? Would they bury her?

If he was careful about it, could he leave Redhawk Caldera with two sisters in tow instead of one?
