Founded by rivals turned business partners, Verapaz is an organized drug syndicate with the intent to monopolize the Teekons. They enforce a strict code of conduct based on honor, prestige, and vengeance. Their modus operandi is to recruit those in poverty, exploiting their social malaise for their own profit. The syndicate is adept in propagandizing, persuading initiates that pursuing a high rank in Verapaz is the only solution to escape poverty, thus offering them an outlet to rebel against the wealthy factions that have forgotten them. They place high value on familial ascension, and project an image of glorified extravagance that reveres power, achievement, and unswerving machismo.
