The boy had been led in to the territory and then given free reign to find himself a place to rest, so he sequestered himself near a crag in the rocks, sheltered above by a curling old tree. A few hours of rest was all he could muster - it was too difficult to stay rooted to one spot and resist the urge to get to his feet and search for his companion, Mazarin. When Sylvaine did sleep, he did it lightly. The smallest sound was enough to make him jump back in to a conscious state. In a strange place such as this, without his entourage of guards and attendants, without the consistency, he was less like a prince and more like a lost little boy.

Blue had heard of the youth that had entered their fold and his sore paws. Today she went in search of him, she wondered how she could help him or what she could do. She hoped to ease some of his discomfort, after all it was only the healer thing to do. And she so loved being a healer.

So with that thought in the forefront of her mind she loped towards it, with aloe in her maw. She came upon him and chuffed gently, keeping in mind that he may not want help.

Others of the pack must have been alerted to his status while he rested. This was the only logical conclusion Sylvaine could muster when he caught sight of a distant lupine form, larger than he and moving quickly in his direction. Initially he thought it was a trick of the light - the dark of the forest and its lack of familiarity. But the figure remained constant, and eventually came upon his resting place. He was cautious of the stranger at first, as any new addition would be.

As soon as he spotted the aloe, Sylvaine understood her intent. There was nothing to fear here - only compassion. He did not need much bidding to unravel himself and sit upright; whatever made her job easier would also make his aches deteriorate faster. Infirmière, what do you need of me? He could lift his paws one at a time, he supposed; but that would prove difficult once two of the four were attended to. Perhaps it would be easier if he lay on his back? The very thought of laying with is belly exposed caused the fur of his scruff to puff out, indignant.

I'm going to assume she was told by Dante of his paws

Dante had spoke to Blue about the youth's paws, and it had bothered her to a major degree the pain he must be in. So as soon as her world had calmed down a little bit, she had gone in search of him. It was not good for a wolf to have sore paws, especially as winter fast approached, some could even argue that it was here. Though the weather had stayed mild for the most part.

Blue chuckled You may just lay on your belly and turn your paws upside down one at a time. Does that work for you? She knew most did not want to lay on their back and it wouldn't do well to have him standing and lift one at a time. This was the easiest route she could think of.

Sorry for the late reply! @Blue Willow

When she outlined what he should do, the boy obliged. It was easier to lay on his side and lift each paw to her attention than to stand, and less demeaning than laying sprawled upon his back. So he slumped against the ground, careful to avoid too many sticks and rocks, and then lifted one of his front paws. As she tended to it, Sylvaine felt a bit out of place by the silence. Will this take long? The boy queried, his tone light but tired. He still did not realize she was someone of great importance, otherwise he would have been a bit more charming - but for now, Syl saw this medicine woman as a simple servant, unworthy of any in-depth attention.

Blue watched as he moved to lay on his side. She was a little upset with the tender rawness of his paws, but she did her best to fix them up. First paw she smeared some aloe on it and covered it in dock leaves. Hopefully the Aloe would hold the leaves in place for a time, as uncomfortable as it was.

Blue shifted her weight and looked at him for a brief moment with green eyes wide. It shouldn't no. All i'm doing is placing some aloe on them to help seal and heal and then covering them with Dock Leaves. The leaves don't have to stay on too long. I'm Blue Willow by the way beta and healer of the pack. Your name is Sylvaine yes?
