Due to this roll, Fisher will be dying. Volunteers?
It takes Fisher a few days longer than it should to get herself from her demise to the forest. Getting around took a lot longer with a limp. Her front right ankle is swollen and she has to stop every so often to give it a break and let the swelling go down long enough so she can feel it again. It’s not broken, at least, but it hurt like a bitch still.
She makes her way to the ground by supporting herself up by the base of a tree. She sinks, carefully, while she holds up the strained foot. A hard breath of air is forced from her lungs once she makes contact with the cool forest floor. Fisher takes a look around once she’s settled and exhausted but with one eye swollen shut, she isn’t able to see all that well.
With a long exhale, she lowers her head to her paws. Her ears remain cupped forward but she doesn't allow herself to really fall off to sleep.

he left the child behind in their claimed cavern upon his departure to seek a kill. meat was foremost in his mind -- the red forest drew him, and the silver cat quickly took up the thread of scent left behind by a deer-herd. their spoor made for an easy path, and his wide paws carried him noiselessly in their wake. however, before he allowed himself the luxury of the tasking kill, the sweet fragrance of blood drew him aside.
shardul beheld the wounded form of a wolf slumped against the side of a tree -- his heart beat fast within him, and his blood ran hot. forgetting immediately his intentions, the argent one began to stalk the unsuspecting weakling creature.

Mud is caked to the underside of her body from when she hit the wet bank after going for Ilya. It goes to show one wrong move can cost her a lot more than she’d imagined. Her eyes close slowly, trying not to worry about the next few days. If she had a pack, she’d have that safety to recuperate. Without that, she is constantly at risk, but for the moment she can’t bring herself to care.
Once she has a little rest behind her, she can figure out her next step, but for now her joints are too sore to move.

the wolf did not move -- rather, it huddled closer to the tree-bole. shardul loomed ever closer, until the glinting of his eyes could be seen in the gloom. he made no hurry to strike -- the wounded creature would make fine sport indeed, and a rasping laugh purled forth from him, gathering volume until it reverberated in a scream in shattered echoes of a demonic call.

It is little too late when Fisher’s eyes open, turning to look at the greyscale feline parting his jaws in a roar. Her eyes widen immediately and she scrambles to her feet, one leg giving out and hitting the ground again. There’s no time steady herself before she eventually gets to her feet. Fisher backs up a few steps before she tries to turn and run the other way.

he pounced as she turned to run, his claws digging into her flesh. the sensation was wondrous, expansively delicious -- he felt the lick of it throughout his veins, and drew blood. crimson droplets painted her pelt brightly, and shardul twisted the wolf to the earth, muzzle lowering swiftly to shred one pointed ear between his long teeth.

Fisher hadn't come across many cougars in her lifetime but she didn't remember them being this big. He's grey, thiugh, but that could be the shadowing of the forest playing tricks with her mind. She doesn't have time tore ally think about the details bechsse in a matter of seconds, the two hundred pound feline is upon her. Claws dig into her back and she cries out, slamming to the ground. All her oxygen suddenly escapes her and she can't pull in a full breath. The weight of the cougar doesn't help.
Her cry is mangled when he bites down upon her ear, shredding it. Blood pools in her coat from his claws and pours from her ear and she can't find the energy to fight back. She parts her lips to let out a straining plea but her words are hoarse and inaudible.

maybe mark this M for gore? <3
the taste of blood maddened the creature; her flesh parted easily beneath the onslaught of his jaws and he caught her other aud in the crush of his massive jaws. when he had finished mutilating her, shardul turned the wolf bodily and bit deep into her chest. his intention was to prolong her suffering, wring the weak screams from her, before allowing her the dark and eternal embrace.

His weight prevents her from even thinking about fighting back, pushing down on her spine until she thinks it might break in two. Her cries were weak and hoarse as she tries to regain some semblence of air back into her lungs. He rips her other ear from her head and she suddenly inhales a sharp breath that startles her pupils into blowing. When his teeth break into the space of her ribs, gripping with power that could easily turn her bones to powder. Fisher's head falls and her eyes roll back into her head, her breathing shallow as the cougar pierces her flesh.

she was dying, dying within his grasp, dying as his teeth cut through the cage of ribs and into the lungs and heart below. shardul seized the life-organ within his maw and bit until blood spurted across the pelt of its own bearer, warm crimson painting both their faces. undoubtedly she was dead, and his interest waned quickly -- at length, the silver cat could be found alongside the mauled body of his latest victim, meticulously grooming every trace of blood from his muzzle and paws.
