If anyone wants to intercept her!
There were usually eyes on her. It was natural, in the days since they had passed the last remnants of the Strath's protection and out into the wilds of the world again, mostly there were eyes on her to make sure that she didn't drop puppies along the dirt somewhere. She didn't feel the bitter pains of labor yet, and she'd gathered as much of her herbs as she could to help her when that time came. Instead she slipped away while the others combed the shores, allowing them to hunt and do their business. She had her own business to attend to, squaring her shoulders as she stared at the tall trees of the forest she had once loved so dearly.
All she could think now was the graves it harbored; Palisander still rested, and would always rest, inside it's border. All she was considering was that she could go in and at the very least gather the stone she had once adorned his grave with. It was all she needed. Then she would never pass into the Forest again. Before she'd even had a chance to hit it's edge she stopped; it seemed so daunting to consider to step foot inside the forest again after they had been forced to flee.

Hope you don't mind me! :)
She was on her way out of Ravensblood Forest when the movement beyond the trees caught her attention. Pausing in her tracks with crimson ears tall atop her fine crown, the tawny Frostfur listened quietly. Her gaze found the figure of an wolf unknown to her as she stepped out from between the foliage and as soon as she saw the vibrant hue of the stranger's pelt, Durnehviir's breath hitched. In her mind's eye she saw the sleek frame of her own mother, clear as day, swathed in colours of a Summer sunset. Before she even realised, the tawny beauty was moving tentatively toward this strange wolf, unrealistic optimism gripping her thrumming heart that this newcomer might be a ghost of her uncertain past.
Disappointment drowned this glimmer of hope, however, as she drew nearer and discovered that this female could not be the missing Paarthurnax. What had she been thinking, anyway? That her mother would just walk back into her life? She shook the frustration away, opting to foscus on the stranger who'd come to pause at the borders upon noticing the woods were now inhabited by a budding pack. Tail sweeping high over her rear in a passive display of dominance, the red-tipped Frostfur moved in close to the wolfess to move around her in a circle to better investigate.
Sniffing her shoulder, Durnehviir picked up the scent of others and concluded that this female might not be alone. A glance upward revealed distinctly swollen sides, very obviously heavily pregnant. Rumbling lowly in uncertainty, Durnehviir wondered inwardly if this she-wolf might be chancing her luck looking for a pack to raise her litter.
She decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, however, and cause to halt before their visitor to look upon her with questioning champagne eyes.
