How do I post-date threads?

 

Hello! I have a question. I'm currently waiting for someone to respond to my thread, but I would like to keep roleplaying. Could I post a thread about events that happened in the past? And how do I date them so it's clear that the thread happened before my first one? Thanks!

Some folks set specific dates for their threads and note it at the top. Others just say "let's bump this to present-day," meaning that it pushes the timeline forward. Some just don't give a single hoot about timelines. You can also make a note at the top that says something like: "happens before/after X event occurred."
