Komal stood at the lakeside. Ears pointed with intent, face tilted to catch the movement of fish beneath the waters. The albino had happened across this land that held promise. Sometimes when the wind blew a hard, southernly gale he caught a hint of the salty ocean brine. His journey would end soon.
He dove downwards with lightning speed, his narrow muzzle piercing the water just as the fish swam beneath it, snatching the fish and hauling it back out onto the bank. He got his paws on the slippery body, delivering the final blow to the head which saw the meal lay prone.
He dove into his meal without much care for his surroundings for the moment. He could deal with it as it came.
