The mountains housed him today.

Spacious land, but oh so treacherous. One misstep could send any creature sprawling to the depths below. It was an luring thought, almost.

Some were frightened by death, while others reveled at the idea. 

Why resist such a commodious escape from a not-so hospitable world? A foolish thing for any to do. It may be argued that there is purpose to life; a purpose that will transcend the peace of demise. But at least in death, there can be no fear of losing light, for there is already endless darkness.
