dawn gives way to early morning, the sun trying but failing to break free of it's cloudy prison. a soft snow flurry had begun sometime in the night — warsbane had awoken from his uneasy slumber to find it layering atop him like a blanket — and has yet to cease.

though the foreignness of this unknown land remains, so warm in it's colors and temperature despite the snowfall, the snow brings with it memories of the tundra. of home. of his once home, he forcibly reminds himself. still, he allows himself the small bit of familiarity and thus the tiny bit of comfort.
