It had been decided that the two Alphas of Porcupine Ridge would leave. The battered and cold body of their Beta had sealed the deal that they no longer had anything to stay for within these lands, and while Taggarik summoned the few faces that remained, Capri's swarthy figure could be seen, skirting the edges of their territory, her eyes cast out to the lands that lay below. @Terich-mir was out there somewhere -- gone from her side in anger and what she assumed was jealousy.
It hurt to leave him behind. The Ridge was nothing she could not let go.. but her best friend? Despite her anger at him, the feeling of betrayal and abandonment.. she could only hope her silver friend was acting on pure emotion alone, and eventually would seek her out once more. For now, she gave him his space.
But he would not find her here.. the lands would be long claimed by ghosts by the time he might try to come back. And os tipping her muzzle up, the she-wolf called to her friend -- hoping the echo of her voice would inform him of her decision -- a goodbye for now. They would find one another again someday. She refused to believe this was the last she would see of the one wolf who had been with her through the toughest of times and decisions.
As her song faded, she cast one more glance around the lands. With that, she loped back to Taggarik's side, where she belonged. It was hopeful that she carried life within her now, and the two had to look to their future together -- and find a place where they could raise their family in safety.
