All Welcome
feel free to join! he's new and he's ready to rumble

there was a bleat from a doe, followed by thunderous footsteps. a tuft of earth kicked up to be lost, a streak of blood that painted the grass a deep, ruddy red. and the doe itself, now thrashing as its neck lay within the jaws of a brute. helpless, weak. she'd been ill.

a pair of hazel eyes with dilated pupils narrow, fur of rust and earthy browns bristled and cow-licked. iosef's barreled chest heaved with exertion—the doe might have been ill, but she was much quicker than he. with a grunt, the brute snapped his jaws. a deft crack, followed by the doe's stillness within his maw.

he set the doe down, laid it to rest before teeth tore into flesh, tearing away strips of fur, until tongue met innards. death is what he knew best, and he'd done a fine job with this one. he settled down onto his haunches to dig in, his dark maw stained red, and the saccharine scent gone with the breeze.

She heard the scuffle from afar, then saw the man take the doe's neck into his maw. Life into death—and death into life.

Rising Sun trotted forward to examine his catch, giving a friendly chuff upon her arrival, tail flagging.

She did not expect food from this meeting, but she'd like to meet the wolf who had completed a successful hunt. Anyone who could provide food in the cold months was one to take notice of.
