Having nothing to satiate him up until this point, Anselm was both surprised and invigorated when he spotted a lonely moose upon the moor; it dragged itself through the wetlands despite the chill of winter, drawing its flapped nose through the icy water lazily. How the moose got there was a mystery to him. But, judging by its lethargy, Anselm presumed that it had only a few more days of life left in it. So he loitered nearby, watching, wandering on occasion to keep his blood flowing, but generally just waiting. Eventually the massive creature would be dead, and he would be free to take what he needed.
