Floki stored away the information that he had learned about Wildfire, carefully locking it in his mind. He would remember what she had said about her parents, and that she had a younger cousin. But all too soon, she was bidding him farewell. His ears splayed slightly as she leaned forward to kiss him, enjoying the feeling of her lips against his cheek even as she said a playful goodbye.

"I will," he promised, though he wouldn't have a chance to fulfill it before she made the life-altering decision to leave Redhawk Caldera and join Moonspear's ranks. But the aspiring outrider was already planning his route as he watched her fiery silhouette shrink into the distance, and he felt light as a feather as he turned and bounded back up the slope of the mountain.
