There was a certain darkness that enfolded the young creature even though he was in a forest of brightness. He shook himself and rushed, almost blindly to a nearby stream. A small one but it would suffice and after drinking he dove in. Sure in his abilities that he would not drown. The cold water swirled around him, soaking his agouti fur and weighting it down. A moment later, he crawled back on shore and somehow managed to find the strength to shake his soaking pelt. Droplets of water mixed with blood flew in all directions until he decided it was enough. Now the only thing that was truly bothering him was his hunger.
It gnawed at his belly when he walked, when he rested, when he ran, when he did anything at all. And he felt it was time for it to be filled, the question is, how was he going to hunt anything at all when the wounds on his body were dripping readily? Surely that smell along would alert any prey nearby, but as his brother always told him, at least you tried. Rising to his paws gracefully, he sniffed the air and almost immediately found the scent of a rabbit. Keen sea green eyes spotted it and crouched down, tail still and held just above the leaves. He moved forwards as far as he dared to before bunching up his hindquarters and leaped. The rabbit didn't even have a chance when his fangs sank into its windpipe, the life leaking out of its body quickly.
Grabbing the limp body in his jaws, he trotted over to the stream and leaned on a nearby tree. Slowly he began tearing into the flesh of the rabbit and swallowing it quickly, somehow he was not eating like a pig yet despite the hunger that tore through his stomach. Instead ate gracefully if that was even possible.
Hunger wasn't the onlyb monster gnawing at Juno's belly (and at Scipio's apparently). As she trailed happily along the edge of the valley, a sudden urge to pee attacked the young female. Inmidiately the girl squated into position, not even bothering to check if anyone was around -- which in fact happened to be the case.
After relieving the demands of her bladder, Juno turned around to continue her trek through the Teekon Wilds; she began to frolick down the same road she had come through until her nose ideantified the sweet and mouth-watering scent of meat. She licked her lips greedlily as she began to search for the source.
Oh.
As soon as her eyes fell upon the man, she stopped mid-step and blew air out her nose. "Hiya," she barked, while swishing her tail over her back and down again.

Scipio ate, though his eyes scanned warily over the female. He was not willing to share any of his preciously hunted food with her. Why should he? She hadn't done any of the hard work and she couldn't expect anyone she came across with hard earned food to just give something to her. That was simply illogical and would not happen in real life. And this just happened to be real life.
Damn.
Talk about pissy attitudes. As Juno approached the male mid-dinner, she had never even thought of asking for a bite -- if things had gone more smoothly and he presented himself as a gentleman instead of a dickhead, she might've reconsidered; but now such thought had vanished from her mind..
As soon as she saw the bridge of his nose scrunch up and his lip curl back in hostility, she lowered her head and tucked her ears against her skull. She was in no mood to argue with the man -- Juno was a jumpy creature that almost never said no; except to fights, those she found useless. Especially if they were with a man. Due to her unusual uprbringing, the rusty daredevil's subcouncious was trained to disregard males and their stupidity.
"I don't want none of your stinky rabbit.. just wanted to say hello.." she muttered through gritted teeth. If the man was going to let her presence ruin his dinner then so be it -- she wasn't going to let his constipated face ruin her day.

"Anyways, what brought you here?" he said, mildly curious. She did not seem to know these lands well and he wasn't going to stoop so low to ask her about his brother. Sure, he wanted to find out his whereabouts but there was the unbendable Roman pride in him that stopped him from asking a wolf like her. He was not that desperate.
Juno returned the stare with a bored expression. Though they had not spent more than five minutes together, she already felt overwhelmed by his uptight, know-it-all attitude. Geesh, the only one that could choose to be a bitch was her -- or at least that's what she thought. Her pretty looks had granted her the priviledge of dictating how most conversations with men went. It was usually her who gave the snarky responses and played coy; not the other way around.
Weren't all men supposed to be stupid?
Her men-shaming thoughts were quickly interrupted by his lame excuse, which sorta accused her of misinterpreting his words. Oh yeah? What language dumb made-up language was that?, she wanted to ask but limited herself to purse her lips into a scowl. "And that little greeting ye gave me was a smile wasn't it?" she sneered. She didn't care about what he had said.
Salve or no-salve, what had bummed her out was to be greeted with a snarl. Not all loners were thieves! (She was a thief actually, but that was something he didn't have to know..)
Then with a shrug of her shoulders and a feigned careless huff, she turned her face to the side and then back to him. "Just passing through" she barked coolly. The truth was she had actually seeked him out. Well not him -- his food.
He had been right all along, she just wouldn't let him have the small satisfaction of knowing so.

But he settled on a faintly amused expression as he looked at her with cold green eyes as she pursed her lips in a scowl. "And that little greeting ye gave me was a smile wasn't it?", a mischievous smirk that would have impressed his other brother, Leo, drifted across his features in an annoying way but otherwise, his gaze remained the same old cold sea green.
”Yeah, it actually was, I hope your eyesight isn't too bad, hmm." he replied in a careless tone. He watched with a look of amusement as she shrugged and barked that she was apparently 'just passing through'. Scip raised an eyebrow, ”Are you?" he said before flashing a crooked, sarcastic smile at her. ”Well be on your way then, thief and go steal other wolf's food or maybe you can actually hunt you know, if you know how to, that is." With that he took a huge bite of rabbit and chewed slowly, still gazing at her in the coldly amused manner.
and sorry juno is such a butt
Oh, her upbringing didn't have anything to do with her impertinent attitude. Though the majority of her flawed ideologies could be blamed on the lack of a masculine figure in her life, being an ill-mannered snob was not one of them -- that she had built on her own.
While he internally cursed the girl's parents for her lousy manners, she cringed (maybe even visibly) at the egocentric act he kept up. He was no better than her. Never was and never would be; and that simply because of the bulge between his thighs.
Juno was a radical thinker -- or maybe just a resentful yearling that despised what she never had.
The man smirked at her little remark and threw back one of his own, yet during the whole exchange his eyes remained cold and distant. This duality of his body language was intriguing yet a little disturbing as well; it made the female wonder if there was something aside from her presence bothering the guy. Like a stick up his butt? (it was the only viable explanation she found to his neverfading scowl)Though his physique didn't give away his age, the cinnamon pelted brat was sure he wasn't really the old grump he acted as -- he was just a young wolf with a rotting attitude.
Their whole encounter had turned sour, really fast.
But it was finally when Juno was beginning to share the idea that it might be best to turn tail and leave the pompous male to enjoy his rabbit in solitude, that the guy decided to add salt to the wound.
As if being a dick and having one wasn't enough.
"Asshole, I'm not looking for your freakin' scraps"she hissed while wrinkling her face into an ugly snarl, in her defense, she had never verbally implied she wanted them. "I can sustain myself without your charity work, you prick! " she yelled in protest, the hairs along her spine bristling as she screamed. Though she was merely a quarter or his size, Juno was not one to back down, especially when her abilities were put on question.
"I've hunted things bigger than your big-head --Pull the stick out your ass for a moment, not everything revolves around you " it revolves around me! she finished in her mind, whilst rolling her blue eyes dramatically and trashing her tail around madly.
Probably this should've been the cue for her to go.
But no, she remained there, glued to the spot like an idiot.
And idiot that wanted to see how he applied cold ice to that buuuuurn

”Oh you weren't huh?" he smirked crookedly, eyes amused and cold. ”I'm pretty sure you can feed yourself, girl, because I can see that clearly from you obviously starving form." Truthfully he couldn't literally see her as starving but he had seen the expression of hunger many times, and though it was hard to decipher if it was on the female's face, he knew by gut feeling she was hungry. ”I'm totally convinced." he added, still smirking in a crooked, sarcastic way. She was truly amusing and gave him quite a few things to laugh at, and take his mind off. The worries of finding his brothers subsided when he dealt with this foolish little girl who had no experience whatsoever with the outside world, with the real world. Although Scipio hadn't ventured far from home for a long period of time, he knew the real world without having to leave, his father was a perfect example. He was pretty sure not all wolves were like that, but it made sure his expectations of others were not high and disappointments would not come.
”Also," he added in a bored tone, ”I never said the world revolved around me, and truthfully it would be a disaster if that happened. It would be ultimately chaotic. And I'm pretty sure I don't have a stick up my ass, little girl, unless you want to check it? You're very welcome to examine my butt you know." he said without cracking a single grin, the sarcastic smirk remained on his features, green eyes examining her in a bored manner.
The malnourished female kept puffing her chest out, and flaring her nostrils, she was not afraid of him. She feared nothing except being alone, not even death was frightening for the girl, she had been so close to it before she considered it an old colleage. The male opened his mouth again, this time to spill out sarcastic remarks about her thin frame that only made Juno's tail puff out even more.
"Shut up, you fatass, I eat just enough thank you for your concern" she snapped back, her little ears turning and twisting as she faced the man. It was a lie to say she hadn't been after his treasure, but honestly now that he had shown what a dick he was she had lost her apetite -- her emtpy stomach was now filled with rage and annoyance. She wanted to yell in his face and kick dirt in his eye but just like him she knew that the man would squash her as soon as she tried.
She would be able to talk back to him until he showed further signs of hostility, then she would be obliged to turn tail and flee. Suddenly he began to respond to her last comment about having a stick up his rear end, of course not before touching the subject of the world's fate if it orbited around him. "Boo-hoo, quit your sob story! The world will never revolve around you, you're far too uptight for that" she sneered, lashing her tail like a whip and furrowing her brow, "And you're too.. stupid if you think I'll check out your bum.. " she answered awkwardly at his next remark. She wasn't sure it it was because the man had been rude, but she felt a certain bubbling of repulsion in her chest as she laid eyes on him.
Maybe it was just him, or men in general.
