Blackfeather Woods our quiet drama[m]

Singing had spiked Grim's curiosity and he had followed the sound. Now he watches a female sleeping in a bed of red roses some paw steps away. The large wolf lowers himself into a hunters crouch. Stealthily, he stalks slowly towards her. She looks like death laying in the roses. Like the blood had drained from her and soaked the ground around her. He admires the scene. A familiar lust stirs in him as well as an unfamiliar warmth. He stifles a growl, not wanting to wake his pretty female. He is unsure of what the warmth is. You care about her, the good in him explains. He shakes his large head back and forth to clear the voice. He doesn't care about anyone. His ultimate goal is to murder and torture. But even thinking that, his gaze softens when he lays eyes on her. Is the only reason he wants her is for her to bear his pups? Or is he really starting to care for her? You're starting to fall for her too,  the voice mocks him. Grim grinds his teeth together, pushing all feelings of warmth from his mind and steeling himself against them. She is a mate. Nothing more. 

Fury lashes about inside his chest at the show of softness in himself. Where is the darkness? Why is there light seeping into him? He can't have that. All there is in this world is darkness. All there will be is darkness. In a hard tone Grim snaps, "I could have killed you with you out in the open like this, Lusa..." His voice drifts off as he realizes that the words he has just spoken could be taken as a form of kindness. As him looking out for her. Jaws clamp shut to prevent any more nonsense from leaking out. How will she take what he just said? Did she hear what he had said? And what was she doing sleeping out here anyway?
