Tarquin had traveled far, for whatever it was worth deciding to give these Teekon Wilds what he could consider something of a second chance. Whatever measure it had been that had caused him to leave them in the first place he did not remember, but he remembered that his first stay was not long. His departure had taken him back to Veina Dei, back to his mother and plethora of older siblings. This, too, was not meant to last long. He desired his independence from them, away from the bearing shadow of his father, Isi Frostfur despite the man's passing shortly before Tarquin's own birth. Expectations were kept, passed from the eldest son down the line to where it ended with him. The legacy of the father was a heavy thing to carry, especially when the man had been made into a martyr with his death. Tarquin was not yet in the place in his life when he wanted to be responsible, favoring the 'youngest son' syndrome that allowed him to hold zero accountability. This was skewed thinking, of course, the mind set of a man that had never been held accountable as a boy; that would change given time and Tarquin was not the fool to consider otherwise.
Still, he intended to live it up as much as he could before the weight of responsibility sat upon his shoulders. Some responsibility was needed now, but the measure of it felt small compared to what his brothers had more or less demanded of him. Nova Peak did not strike him to be in the same vein as Veina Dei and for that Tarquin found that he was grateful. Not that he had much time to do a whole lot of assessing; he'd called for a leader, gave his spiel of what skills he had to offer them, agreed to be loyal and an asset — the usual procedure — and he'd been accepted into their fold.
Now, a few hours later, Tarquin had set it upon himself to become more acquainted with the territories within the claimed region that made up the pack of Nova Peak, with the purpose of committing them to memory.
