Greatwater Lake Under the moon

Although Lavakho felt bitter about leaving his home behind, he never questioned his loyalties.  Following his brother was all he knew.  Following, had become so far ingrained in Lavakho's persona, that anything other than being led would end in disaster for him.  He had become dependent on his brother, now more than ever, to lead the Khalas to the promised land.

However, the promised land never came... at least, that's what it seemed.  Lavakho followed his brother over mountains and through valleys.  Across streams and rivers.  Toward a destination that quite possibly didn't exist.  Sure, the Dosh Khaleen had advised his brother to go on this wild goose chase, but maybe a promise of this nature, made by some old, daft tart shouldn't have been followed.  Crone or not... Lavakho's faith in the elder was beginning to wane.  

But still, he followed.  Bitter or not, family was family.  And when his brother's howl pierced the night air, Lavakho threw his muzzle to the sky to join his voice with his Rakharo's, to tell him he was still with him. Always.
