The newest and perhaps most untrusted member of the small horde of Dotharan had been mostly distant the days following his pledge to Rakharo. Somehow, he had been accepted, and the Khal had trusted him enough to follow along with the rest of his Khalas and not simply abduct Zoratto and hightail it out of the Wilds (nor even straight up murder the boy for his actions). While Rhanno hadn't made it fully apparent about his aspiration to usurp Rakharo's throne, there was no doubt that he wanted the title of Khal back, to restore his former glory. Yet, the possibility of being second-in-command rattled about in his mind, and he toyed with the idea idly. It was perhaps the next best choice.

Stretching out in his spot underneath a tree, the elder snorted as he heard the howls echo into the night from across the lake. Two, three, five others joined him, and Rhanno heaved a heavy sigh before sending up his own deep, clipped howl to let the Khal know he still followed him to wherever this so-called promised land was.
