It was the alpha's call. Syn tilted her head with curiosity, ears perked forward. The sound was close to her, just beyond the line of tree's that opened up into a valley. She trotted through the woods, dodging tree's and bushes on her way. Once clear of the shadowed tangle of trunks, it brightened causing Syn to squint. There were a few wolves already gathered, one of them being tended to. She recognized the white wolf who appeared to be injured and the reddish one with a black patch along his spine, but the others were unfamiliar. She bared teeth at the white wolf, a tinge of fear raising the hairs on her back. Kroc had been the first Syn had met, but things hadn't ended on good terms between them. Turning her focus away from the white female she said, "Alpha call Syn? What Ton want?" She slowed to a stop a few paw lengths from a russet male. "Hello," Syn greeted the male while sitting. "Do you know what alpha want? Are we hunting? Syn hungry. Syn could hunt." As if to confirm her words, a loud rumbling emerged from her stomach. The thin black wolf whined with want of food. "Better hunt. Call interrupted Syn's hunt." Though she hadn't found anything that she could catch. There had been a few squirrels, but the little critters kept to their trees. Not that they were much of a meal anyway.
