Redhawk Caldera Bringing her body home

Raven loved digging and getting dirty so she wanted very much to help, but she wasn't brave enough to jump in and do it.  She didn't want to aggravate any of the adults and get in trouble, or risk upsetting Aunt Flea any further.  So she hung back and watched with somber eyes as the three older wolves made quick work of the task at hand.  Soon there was a deep hole, yawning wide and empty, with large heaps of loose soil in all sides of it.  Raven wasn't entirely sure yet what the exact purpose of the hole was, but she had a feeling she wouldn't have to wait long to find out.  Was it some sort of odd goodbye ritual?  Tiger had liked digging; was this some strange way to honor her memory?  Were they doing it just for fun?  To cheer up?  The little blackbird wasn't sure, but she kept a lid on her confusion and just continued to watch quietly.
